Hair Polishers

Does anyone not use oils or moisturizers and only polishers? I have gone to several dominican stylists and they always recommend that I not use oils or moisturizers and just stick with the serums just recently an owner of a dominican beauty supply store told me that the oils and moisturizers only clog the pores and the only people that he knew of that use them and grease are older women. Anybody do only the Hair Polishers as a moisturizer?

My girfriend is looking for a hair polisher. She said when she was in new Orleans, she used hair polishers and it did wonders. Still not sure what it is and what is the benefits. She is having a fit not being able to locate one in Chi town.

I think if the hair polisher was silicone based it wouldnt serve as a moisturizer by itself. My hair wouldnt like it too much. I stick to water-based products as moisturizers, however, polishers can lock in moisture if your hair is wet when its applied. My .02 cents.

i never heard of that
but maybe he ment because of your hair texture are you in the 3's or something?
