Had my hair pressed :)

Had my hair pressed on Tuesday but only got around to taking pics today. I was surprised when I saw I'd gain some length after I cut about an inch off a few months back. The full length may be a bit longer as the ends are still slightly curled!

The hair may look a bit stringy in the pics but I still have some body in my hair

Bra-clasp length here I come!

Another weird thing, both sides are equal length (at last!!!) but my right still curls up far more than the left...

What products do you use on your hair? Was it pressed or flat ironed?

It was pressed. I don't know what the stylist used, sorry! I will ask next time I go, though it may be a few months.

Otherwise I mainly use Kemi Shea Butter on my hair.

It usually takes me at least a couple hours to press my hair (and it still ends up kind of puffy). How long did it take to get yours done?

Thanks! Been natural for nearly six years but my hair stayed at the same length for the last 3 or so years, I think. I hadn't pressed my hair for two years but I want to say I retained about 3-4" of growth since March 2003

I have to big up the hairdresser for this, from shampoo to style it took one and a half hours and so far so good

My press was on Monday last week and it's still here, but I'm washing out tonight. It's not humid so I've not had much trouble with frizz. I'm also missing my twists!

@ sundayschild, I normally have my hair in twists or occasionally cornrows. I wear a satiny scarf, which reminds me, it's a bit tatty now and needs replacing
