Gel makes my scalp itch!!! help!

Well as the title says gel makes my scalp itch (esp hairline) mainly Fantasia IC gel and especially Elasta QP glaze. I've tried fixing this by applying shea butter before the gel but it still happens! has anyone else had this problem? If so what did you do to stop it?

Stop using the gel.

You may have to look for cremes to lay down your edges (if that's what you were using the gel for) instead.

Or try pure Aloe Vera gel or a different type of styling gel.

A high quality pomade (natural oil based) may also help.

I've reviewed several styling products that could do this. HTH.

You could try 100% aloe vera gel

I agree with the aloe vera gel. Regular gel dries my skin out so badly after a few days my forehead or hairline will begin to flake, not dandruff but skin. The aloe vera gel was something I would have never used until reading about it here, and it lays my hair down better than gel because it doesn't stiffen it, and I only buy the cheap stuff at Family Dollar, I think it's Fruit of the Earth.
