FLAT IRON DEMONSTRATIONS IN THE MALL - WOULD YOU PARTICIPATE?

I was floored this weekend, when while walking thru the mall, one of the kiosks had various and sundry flat and curling irons for sale, and the sales girl was conducting demonstrations on peoples hair, right in the mall!

This woman let her young daughter get a demo of a curling iron...and the setting was high, and I could literally smell her burning hair.

Have you ever seen this? When did this practice start?

What kind of liability insurance do these flat iron kiosk folk have that gives them comfort in conducting these kinds of demonstrations.

I was really shocked by this one. My daughter and I walked by, looking at the stupid flock of willing particpants like .

Yeah right. I don't even flat iron my hair. I'm not going to let some want-2-be cosmetologist try and do it.

This has been going on in my local mall for many years.

There is no way I would let them touch my hair.

A few months ago I was in the mall and I let one of those flat iron kiosks consultants flat iron my hair and she did a good job, but I did not purchase the flat iron.

I see them all the time and I'd never let them touch my hair. They've asked to demonstrate on my hair when it was already straightened . . .
