Many of us have just concluded various fasts to get the new year off on the right 'foot'. In keeping with that, if we want to see more change/ growth in our lives, we must not forget how important it is to renew our minds daily. These daily reminders are from Pastor Gregory Dickow's website in case you want to avail yourselves of some of the additional resources.:yep:

Rom 12:2-
2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.




Day 1 >

As we launch our all new Fast from Wrong Thinking, 2010, believe in the possibilities of what can happen in your life. Nothing is impossible to the man or woman who conquers their thought life. God is with you. God is for you, and the best news of all: God is working IN you!





Today we’re fasting from the thought that says:
"I Can’t Change!"




We’ve all felt at times like we can’t change a certain habit, or a characteristic about ourselves. Perhaps you feel like you’ll always be easily angered, afraid or worried. Well, that’s what this fast from wrong thinking is all about. As we change our thought patterns and mindsets, ANYTHING can change. And changing our mindsets is simply a process of replacing defective thoughts with biblical mindsets. So, if you’ve felt like you can’t change, you CAN...




CHANGE IT TODAY:



1. Believe that the power to change is a GIFT.
2 Timothy 2:25 says God grants ‘repentance’, or ‘the power to change’, as a gift. The ability to experience lasting change in any area of our life is a gift from God.




2. Receive the gift of repentance or “the gift to change”, by FAITH. Believe that every good gift comes from the Father (James 1:17).




3. All change begins by believing you are loved by God. Romans 2:4b says, "Don't you realize that it is God's lovingkindness that is trying to lead you to Him and change the way you think and act?" (God’s Word Translation).




4. Notice in that verse His love & kindness changes the way we think; THEN it changes the way we act. All lasting change begins by surrendering my thought life to the Word of God (Romans 12:2).




5. Believe in the process that leads to progress. Don’t worry if it doesn’t happen right away. Jesus touched the blind man once, than touched him again, before he was completely healed (Mark 8:22-26).
6. Re-define yourself ONLY as what God says about you. Disconnect from past definition of your habits, traits and limitations. You are being changed into His image. (2 Corinthians 3:18)


THINK IT & SAY IT:




God has given me the gift to change. I can change my habits, emotions and life by changing the way I think. I submit to the process of renewing my mind, and I expect divine progress and supernatural change. I believe the love that God has for me, and that produces change in me. I refuse to accept past definitions and limitations of myself. As I embrace God’s view of me through the mirror of His Word, I am being changed into His image, in Jesus’ Name.

Last year 1Star put us on to Pastor Gregory's 'Fast from Wrong Thinking' and it was indeed a blessing!

I will participate again this year.:grin:!

This was so on time for me. I wish I came across this earlier in life. That's one thing I struggle with...wrong thinking, evil suspicions, negative thoughts, etc. I just want that totally eliminated from my mind. Pray for me!

Consider it done:pray::yep:. That's something we all struggle with- our thought lives:think::perplexed-but in all things we are overcomers, victorious and prosperous people for His name's sake:trophy:. You know the old saying- "Take it one day at a time." God changes us inside and outside little by little from glory to glory. Praying for you. Praying for all of us.:yep:

Rom 8:35-37-
35Who(or what) shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship(recession:twocents: or relationships:love: etc) or persecution("You Christians always...":blah:) or famine(spiritual, mental, physical, or financial) or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:
"For your sake we face death(be it swift or slow death from lack of hope) all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."[a] 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Phil 4:8-

I agree.

Last night something happened and I had to immediately change my 'Wrong Thinking.'

My spirit ministered to me and said a problem is not a problem until I make it a problem. Then I remembered my friend shared Psalm 139 with me a few days ago.

How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them! Psalm 139:17

Thank you so much for posting this!! I have signed up on the website. This is so relevant to me right now. I have copied all your previous posts into a Word document (which my sister will print out for me) and written down all the Bible verses. I will meditate on them daily.
