Cassia+Natural Insticts+ Highlights= Disaster?

So back in January I used Natural Instincts in Midnight (black) with the intents of giving my hair a uniform base color for when i wanna highlight my hair in May... I had been using Henna and my hair was a million colors.... However, noone told me that the semi-permanent black stayed regardless...:nono:

So i stopped using henna and started using Cassia cause its neutral... but I still have the intent on highlighting my hair in May... do you think that highlighting over the semi- permanent black that i put in mid Jan will have an adverse affect...should i stop using the Cassia now... any ideas ladies?

I found out the same thing with the dark colors and Natural Intincts - it is basically permanent if you use dark brown or the midnite black:yep:. Ha ha (found out after trying to go back to my Egyption Plum after using the black)....(there is a tiny disclamer on the box though-i just didn't read that part first about the colors).

I don't have the answer to your question, but maybe you talk to a coloring specialist at a place like Aveda and see what the recommend. You can also call the Clairol line listed on the box and ask them --they will talk to you and give advice on what you want to achieve.

the dark natural instincts are harder to remove than the lighter ones. its not a semi permanent but a demi permanent so the color went deeper in the hair. i only use the reds and browns in that line. you probably should go to professional like previously advised.
