Best Semi-Permanent Hair Color

I am so bored with my hair color, and I am wanting something different for the summer maybe a light brown or something to that effect. But, since my hair is relaxed I don't want to put anything damaging in it, so what are your suggestions on safe semi-permanent dyes? I was thinking of using Sebastians Colourshines in Brilliant Brown but wanted your views first.

Any rinses should be safe, but rinses won't lighten so if you want to go lighter you'll have to go permanent. Which is my dilema because no rinse works for me except jet black/dark brown. I would love a lighter shade but am afraid of permanent color.
