question about MN 4%

I just bought this stuff from walmart. cost me around 10 bucks.

but I'm just wondering if this is what I needed.

Its says:

Miconazole Nirate vaginal cream (4%) &
Miconazole Nirate cream (2%)

what does that mean? It has both 4% and 2%?? I'm confused.

I just began MN last week so I am not really experienced enough to probably answer, but I bought Walgreens version of the 4% and 2%. From what I understand they both work its just that the 4% is more concentrated. I paid $13 and it only lasted about 10 days applying it every night. I went to Kroger today and bought their brand of MN cream 2%, got a big tube of it and only paid 3 bucks and some change. I know you didn't post to ask price, but I just thought I'd throw in another $$$ saving option for u. HTH

I think I used 2%. I'd mix it with some oils and cheapie condish and store it in a clean plastic jar. I've gotten lazy w/ MN but when I was more consistent I'd apply it to my scalp 2-3 times a week.

My box I bought from Walgreens said that too and when I opened it, there were two tubes~ one 4% and one 2%. I ended up mixing them together with castor oil in a separate container. I hope that helps.

oh so now i get it... I just read and opened the box. it comes with 4% cream for internal use and a small 2% tube for external use...

what sucks is that its already preloaded in tubes..boy i hope this is enough or i could have just stuck with my 2% dollar general brand...tube was much bigger!

I like the ones at the dollar store. the tube has a lot in it.

I just spent a round 10 dollars for this 4% and it only has a little bit.. I hope it give greater results than the 2% because I could have stuck to the dollar store 2% brand... this little bit is not going to last me.

Do they carry 4% at the dollar store?

Be careful with the 4% one i've heard it's been taking peoples hair out because it's to strong.

For my first tube I bought the Monistat 7 brand & it came with it...I saved it not knowing I could use it on my hair, then I bouught the walmart brand that didnt come with the external cream....I may try the external...so it's 4%? That's why i havent been able to find the 4% cream....it's already in the box with the 2%...duh

Really? You just walked up to the case register with it? I dont know if I can do that...I get embarassed buying just 1. I tried to get my DH to buy 2 tubes and I buy 2 and he was all for it until he found out is was for my hair

After having RAW eggs for hair growth I think I'm beyond being concerned about what other people think. Heck I don't even think my hubby bats any eye anymore.

When I was looking at $10 plus a tube and saw the same thing for a dollar. I grabbed them right up. No shame in the game.

I think if i really had a coochie problem I might have been worried about it but I was on a hair growth mission

I didn't see the 4% in the dollar store.

Now that I'm wigging it up for the winter, maybe I'll go back to adding this to my routine.

monistat is pretty expensive..i got my 4% from the equate brand...

I've been gone from the board for waaaay too long. Ima have to do some research and find out why we're puttin coochie cream in our hair now! The things we do for long hair, lol.

I got the 4% from walgreens as well. I used it straight and havent had any problems, but I never did with the 2% either. I didn't use an entire tube, but i can be rather stingy with it

I started out using 4% and had fast results. I didn't see any results with the 2% by itself (maybe I just wasn't patient with it after having the 4% bring my bald spots in within 2 weeks!). I recently started mixing 1 applicator tube of the 4% with 1/3 of the little 2% tube that comes with it in order to help stretch the 4%. I'm still getting results that way.

Ok, I think I want to go back to MN. I'd like to look for one without mineral oil though.

does anyone have or know of MN that does not contain mineral oil?

Is it possible to buy it pure/100% so I could make my own mix with OO?

Are you ladies noticing a difference in growth rate concerning a paticular brand? For example...it could've been my imagination but it seemes like the Family Dollar Store brand worked better than the one from Dollar Tree.

There is a thread on the other site a girl hair grew an inch amonth for 4 mths using the 4% from rite aid. the title was "i'm going to share my secret" I'm on day 2 of MN application LOL
