Does anyone ever get bored with their hair?

I am so bored with my hair that it is crazy. I want to jazz it up, but I dont want to anything that will destroy my hair. I was thinking about dyeing it or adding a streak. I just need something to to make my hair a little more exciting. I need advice.

Does anyone else ever feel like this?

I do. But that is because the styles that I attempt to do end up looking like :nono: That is why 99% of the time I rock a pony. But I am going to color this spring

I get bored sometimes. That's when I braid it up and hide it under halfwigs. A few months (and a couple inches) later I take it down and I'm not so bored anymore :look:

The only styles I can do are buns and the style in my siggy. I REALLY want to dye it, but I don't even know where to start with that one.

YES! Right now I'm bored with my hair so I'm pre-pooing my edges for a while to add an extra step in my regimen. I also joined the ceramide challenge so I have to mix oil with conditioners that do not contain ceramides and it makes me feel like I'm doing something special with my hair. I tend to get bored after a touch-up it seems because there's no growth I'm noticing. Stretching is very exciting I will say, it allows me to get to know my hair better as I'm dealing with two textures — a challenge, while anticipating the growth I will see once I relax. :yep:

Yes ma'am! The only reason I don't have two toned hair right now is because I put bigen in my hair a few months ago and the booster I need to lift the color would break my hair off. I get bored with my hair all the time.

I have to put it up in a bun and try to forget about it when I get bored, otherwise I will do something drastic that would cause me a serious setback.

Yep. I'm going to the salon next week for a consultation & I'll probably get some layers cut.

I'm bored with my hair, my products, my usual styles, etc. I'm also bored with growing my hair so I plan to maintain this length for a while.

Yes, this is me right now. I am going next week for a trim but I think I might get some color and chop a few inches off.

yep. im transitioning right now and mostly wearing buns. boooooring. i can't wait to wash/blowdry/flatiron/cut layers to my hair tomorrow. maybe that will get me out of this hair funk.

I was bored as HAYLE with my hair for the last few months, which is why I dyed it two weeks ago! Went from my natural dark blonde to dark brown with bright red and white blonde streaks. I was definitely ready for a change.

When I'm bored..I add color or I buy a new wig...right now I'm wigging it for the next 2 weeks..and to protect my hair I'm baggying under the wig...

Yes. Right now, I'm debating on whether to get highlights. In addition, I am 6 months post (not totally on purpose) and seriously thinking about doing the BC, even though I didn't plan on going natural.:perplexed I don't do wigs, they make me look like I have a hair helmet on.

Yeah, I'm getting really bored. I'm tempted to relax it. I tend to do that around 2 years... Must. Get. Over. Awkward hump.
I'm weaved up and cut the bangs. Maybe that will help.

no not really. i guess i am a boring person. changing my bun from high to low in one week is enough excitement for me:lachen:

Heck yea! I just passed my two year transition mark and I'm starting to get bored, but I'm too with my hair to experiment with new styles.

Yes, I feel that way every now and then. I used to change my hairstyle once or twice a year because of it. Now I just put on a wig when I feel the urge to have something different.

Same here. I'm dying for a full weave. I've never had one before but I think I'm going to bite the bullet and try it out toward the end of the week or next week. I really don't want to see or be bothered with my hair right now.

In the past I used to get bored with my hair. Now I feel like there's too many wig and weave choices in the world to ever get bored.

BOOOORRRRED!!! :wallbash:

I've been hiding my hair for about 3 months now. I'm thinkin' about gettin' a wig or two to play with, there's so many choices I don't know where to start!

Have you ever thought about wearing lacefronts? I did that for 2 years and my hair grew out. It's light brown so I get bored with the color and hid it for years. I died it black a few years back and it grew out, not even the ends are black anymore. Also, Beverly Johnson sells colored hair clip ins. I purchased a blue and a blond one (they come in two in a pack for $4.99 a piece) because my bf loves color and I wanted to try something new. Blue looks really good in dark hair, I put in my new lace fronts if I don't feel like wearing my hair out, blends in perfectly and you can put heat on them. I'm not bored with my hair yet because I've just now finally started to wear it out.

Neither one will damage your hair and there are assortments of styles with the lacefronts and colors with the clip ins. The clip ins add a bit of personality and make a normal hairstyle pop, I love them. Glad I tried them out.

I was bored until this evening. I wanted something different so I went to the salon to get a roller set... got home and went straight to the shower to wash and DC. I'm sitting here with air dried, about-to-go-back-in-a-bun hair. I guess the wasted time and money was all the excitement I needed to cure me for now.

When I'm deep in a stretch or I just relaxed I love my hair and have fun with it. It's that time in between when I get bored. Not enough new growth to play with, and no freshly relaxed hair to play with.

What I try to do is watch random YouTube hair videos to look up new styles that don't require anything drastic. Or braid up my hair so I can mostly forget about it for a while. At that point even if I get the urge to take my braids out and do something silly I won't after spending all those hours putting them in. :) Sometimes hair accessories can spice up an old style you're tired of, just be careful because I was starting to become an accessory junkie right around the time I stopped buying so many products. :look:

Very bored.

In the past I would just pick up the scissors when I got bored with my hair.

Now I will book an appointment for something to be done. Color, blowout, braids, etc.

I've been itching to pick up the scissors lately.
