To "baggy"

Hello,
I am relatively new to the forum and had a few questions about "baggy"-ing. I did a search, but wasn't able to find direct answers to my questions. Here they are:

What does it mean to "baggy" exactly? How do you do this? Can people with natural hair do this? I am under the impression that this method protects the ends of the hair, but couldn't putting products on the ends of the hair be enough for protecting my ends (without "baggy"-ing).

Thanks for your time!

Baggying is putting oil and a moisturizer on your ponytail, bun, head ect then covering with a plastic grocery bag, sandwich bag or seran wrap.

Any hair type can do this

Baggying can be more benefical then just applying moisturizer to your ends because it does not dry out your ends as fast and keeps the moisture on longer to help with length retention.
