This applies to any type of concoction you have made (i.e Conditioner, oil, moisturizing, shampoo---never heard of a shampoo concoction :look:)

Your Concoction:

My Oil Concoction for the scalp:

Rosemary Oil
Coconut Oil
Jojoba Oil

My Sealant/Moisturizing Concoction for the Hair and Ends

Mango Butter
Peppermint Oil
Crisco (yes the stuff you cook with)

How did you come up with the ingredients?

For the Oil Co. Its from Cipriana on UrbanBushBabes

For the Sealant/Moisturizer I love the smell of peppermint oil in my hair and Crisco gives my ends positive results. I use the Mango butter because my sister didn't want it. No need to let it go to waste lol. It also leaves positive results to my hair.

Worst Concoction you've ever made:

Marshmallow root, eggs, and Suave Conditioner.........I don't want to talk about it :perplexed

Any new ones you would like to try?

I would like to try some new ones I've seen on YouTube.

My concoction:
Mine is shea butter whipped with coconut oil and hemp seed butter.

How I came up with it:
I just whipped together what I had at hand, and it turned out beautifully.
My hair loves it and I added tangerine essential oil drop to it so the smell is divine too.

Worst concoction I have ever made:
Avocado, egg, and olive oil as a DC. My hair smelled like hot garbage and it took forever to get it completely out of my hair.

Your Concoction:butter mix (shea/avocado/mango butter, grapeseed/wheat germ/sweet almond oil.) And my egg mask (egg yolk and wheat germ oil)
How did you come up with the ingredients? no rhyme or reason just wanted a creamy sealant and the egg mask is to stop breakage and it works
Worst Concoction you've ever made: an avocado egg mask with everything in it but the kitchen sink
Any new ones you would like to try?I've been playing around with coconut milk and I've found a good brand in my area (Thai Kitchen) and I really wanna perfect a recipe for a mid week DC.

Besides adding oils to my DCs and leave-ins, I also use:

Sealant Concoction:
Castor
Sesame
Sunflower
Almond
Hemp Seed

Spray Bottle/Refresher Concoction:
Distilled Water
Bergamot
Carrot Seed
Clary Sage
Thyme
Black Seed
Peppermint
Vitamin E

How did you come up with the ingredients?
Via a combination of nosiness and PJism

Worst Concoction you've ever made:
Melting shea butter and adding it to my DC = utter nastiness

Any new ones you would like to try?
Just the addition of some interesting oils, i.e., Rice Bran, Macadamia, Kukui Nut, Argan

Moisturizing concoction:
Shea butter
coco butter(sometimes)
coconut oil(sometimes)
olive oil
jojoba oil
glycerin
flaxseed gel
aloe vera goo(from real plant)
water
essential oil(clove/lavender/peppermint/cedarwood)
grapefruit seed extract
citric acid

Shampoo concoction:
Homemade shampoo bar soap
or
Store bought Castile soap and mix with GSE, CA, water, etc..

Worst concoction:
Tried to make a conditioner with flaxseed gel. It was a disaster trying to rinse out with cool water

Your Concoction:

Oil Blend for my Scalp.
Jojoba Oil
Olive Oil
Vitamin E oil
Almond Oil
rosemary
sage
basil
lavender

How did you come up with the ingredients?
Since my scalp was damaged, I just thought about the oils and their natural properties. Jojoba is similar to our own sebum
Olive oil acts like an anti inflammatory
Vitamin E heals burns
Almond Oil is soothing
I picked the essential oils that were soothing or increased circulation.

I use Chicoro's leave in so I haven't come up with anything for that yet.

Worst Concoction you've ever made:
I have something in a spray bottle which I don't know what it is :look: I just keep looking at it wondering.

Any new ones you would like to try?
I want to come up with something for the Shea Moisture Smoothie. I would like to put it in some type of mix for my twists. I have seen some shea butter recipes but they add so much oil to it, it is unusable for me. My hair doesn't need both a butter and multiple oils. Still thinking about this one.

Moisture spritz
Distilled water
Aloe juice
Glycerine
Sodium lactate
Silk aa
Honeyquat
Rosemary hydrosol
Sage eo
Fragrance
Vit e/preservative

Worst concoction
It had ghee, greek yogurt, egg white, olive oil. Great result, but stinks to high heaven.

Sent from my SCH-R910 using SCH-R910
