Moon Phases for trimms/cuts

Ok, I'm posting the lists and explaining as clear because sometimes some sites make it complicatied and it isn't.

First if you want to gain length you trimm/cut on these days during the year. New moon -1st quarter and after the start date and time listed. ex.9/3/05 wait after 1846 or 6:46PM.
the dates are listed in universal form, YYYY/MM/DAY, 2400 hour clock-1300=1PM on the website.

Trimm for length on/between these dates

9/3/05 646PM-9/11/05 1137AM
10/3/05 1028AM-10/10/05 701PM
12/1/05 301PM-12/8/05 937AM
12/31/05 312AM-1/6/2006 657PM

Trimm for thickness on/between these dates

9/18/05 201AM-9/25/05 641AM
10/17/05 1214PM-10/25/05 117AM
11/16/05 1258AM-11/23/05 1012PM
1/14/05 949AM-1/22/05 313PM

The days after the full moon until the new moon DO NOT TRIMM OR CUT because those phases are decreasing and you will be cutting to thin or keep your hair at it's current length or shorter

It's been working for me, I've been following this since below shoulder trying to get to BSL now I'm @ Lower BSL and I'm still using this method. I mean if I don't need to trimm I don't but when I'm due for a trimm I follow this along with my regime. I got this from another site where some women use this and their hair is waist and beyond.

How long have you been following it in months?

1 year-1.5 years I schedule my trimms 3 x/year so every 4 months I trimm and I'm not cutting until I pass WSL so I can even it up at WSL.

Why does it work?
It has to od with how farmer plant during certain phases and times of the moon, and year so their crops can grow more or better. and since we are part of nature too it works somehow like that. I mean the moon does has some alot to do with the waves in the ocean.

Say that I believed that the moon has an affect on hair growth (It IS possible, not saying I disagree)

Wouldn't your hair just grow more in cetrain phases of the moon then??

Why would trimming your hair aide in the growth in any way? It seems to be a well known fact that trimming has nothing to do with the hair that grows put of the follicle, it helps you retain length by taking off hair that may split and break, but it doesn't stimulate the hair follicles.

 you got me I don't know, it just seems to work

I'm just wondering if it keeps people from cutting so often ... and that's why it works... you cut often enough to keep the splits down ... but not so much that you loose lotsof length. I tried it for a about half a year and didn't see any difference from when I cut on my regular schedule.

I believe this is how it works.

I just love this thread. It's nice to know another LHCF member does this too.
BTW, Lucia, do you find it more effective when you trim closer to the new moon or when it's almost full?
Thanx

They're chart is more complicated and not only goes by moon phases but the zodiac "signs" of certain phases etc... that's why I just simplified it for myself.

So according to this, I want thickness, so does that mean I should trim this week? The full moon is tomorrow....

You should trimm no sooner than 9/18/05, yes trimm this week before the moon starts decreasing.

So does either chart work.

I started with this and it DOES work!! My hair has realized great growth followng this method. I only trimmed once at the beginning of October - the 6th to be exact and my hair is now about 3 inches from BSL. It was like one day I woke up and blam --- there it was.

I convinced a girlfriend of mine who thought it was malarchy. It isn't. I figure - if the gravitational pull could have an affect for when we birth babies and move oceans then why not hair as well?

Thanks for posting this but fyi, the links do not seem to be working.
