I attempted the "Blackhawk" as shown on Youtube

Love it!That is just beautiful. And you are wearing that style:yep:
It seems so multi purpose and quick:yep:

I will def try this when my hair gets longer.I think for my relaxed hair,it would have to be air-dried or blow dried and not straightened for it to look good.

Thank you! Yes, I think air-dried or blowdried would be best. That's what I did, and from the youtube video it looks like that's what crownofHisglory may have done.

Your hair is beautiful!!! Not poofy at all!! I wish I could hurry up and learn more than a roller set.

As an aside, I tried a new style, and my head ended up looking like one of those short, lopsided trees from "The Karate Kid." :antlers: It was crazy.

Pray for me...
cj

Thanks!!! Girl, don't feel bad, I know what you mean. This style is very easy. I've tried other styles that looked a hot mess on me. Bantu knots is one :antlers::antlers:. Very crazy!!!

You look so beautiful all around. The hair, the skin, the eyebrows, the accessories, everything. Girl, you are just WORKIN' IT!!!

Awwww!!! Thank you! I had been slacking on my upkeep, so I'm trying to get it together, piece by piece... I'm "under construction"!

i firstly wanted to say that your skin is flawless and you are beautiful. and i love your black hawk:grin: i cant wait to try this. the tutorial was awesome. i always watch this youtuber

Awesome style! I don't think I'd look so exquisite with that hairstyle though.
Don't say that! You have to try it first. I really think anyone could look nice with this style. Some nice earrings and make-up or lip gloss and you're good :yep:.

Thanks! I love her videos, she is really a beautiful person. I've also been thinking of trying to wear head wraps after watching her demonstrate how to tie them.

Lately I've been wearing wigs and trying to avoid using heat so that's what encouraged me to try this. This style has been posted on here before, I can't remember when I saw it or who posted it, but I do recall seeing it. I was on youtube yesterday and ran across the it and decided to try it and wanted to share my version of it with you all. The pic is in my siggy. My hair was really poofy, and so were my edges. This is totally left field from styles that I normally wear, but it was fun going out with a different hairstyle! Here is the link to the youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59T-0Tgt36E

GREAT job :yep:
The blackhawk fits your face...it's stylish and heat free...I may have to try it sometime soon....

I saw her video too a few days ago, and I was taken back by her beauty...:yep: I've never seen anyone with hair so similar to mine...so I really wanted to try the blackhawk....it's so easy and quick to do....

That style looks gorgeous on you. Kudos!:yep:

Well I attempted the blackhawk. It turned out pretty good! The attached pic is from the first time I tried it. It's pretty sloppy! Think it was okay, but it gets better everytime I do it. I let my hair airdry in two french braids and undid it to do the style, combing it out a bit. I wore it like this to an event last night and got a few complements and people saying that they were going to try to copy the look themselves. Proof that relaxed heads can also rock this style... Just the puffs aren't as big... Also wanted to add that I'm about 3 months post.

It turned out great! Yes, this is proof that relaxed heads can rock it just as well! It looks really good on you :yep:. Thanks for coming back and letting me see it :yep:.

This style is really pretty on you. It almost looks like a custom style...thanks for sharing it with us!!! BTW, your posture and carriage are beautiful, they add to the hairstyle tremendously!!
I agree! :yep:

So so chic, could I suggest that you put a link to the picture directly in your first post. That way when you change your signature, we can still see the gorgeous results.

Thanks for sharing and again beautiful style.
I don't have the head or....er, "style" to pull it off but you wear it VERY well
I disagree; with your length and thickness, you could really do justice to this style.

BTW, for anyone who's interested there is a variation without the "bang" posted as a response to the instructions so so chic linked to.
gorgeous! im gonna rock that
Please share with us when you do. My hair is similar to yours, so I'd be curious to see the results.
