Sign me up! I would love to maintain the hair that I have. I think it is pretty think but there ain't nothing wrong with thicker! :yep:

I can't say that I will ALWAYS wait until 12 weeks to relax. Sometimes important dates come up. For example, I'm relaxing at 11 weeks in February because I'm going to see the family.

I don't think it'll be possible for my hair to be really thick, just because I don't think I have that many follicles on my head. But I would like to get it as thick as possible, especially at my ends and edges.
To do it, I'm going to be:
1. Rubbing JBCO into my scalp and edges.
2. Treating my hair weekly with protein.
3. Taking garlic internally and using amla oil to stop shedding.
4. Babying my ends, and trying not to comb or brush them to prevent thinning.
5. Trimming as needed.
6. Stretching relaxers at least 12 weeks.
7. No tight buns or ponytails...no traction alopecia here. :nono2:
8. Flat ironing at most, once a month.

I'm also researching panthenol and the ways that it can be used, so if I can figure that out, then I'll probably include that somewhere in my regimen. I won't be hennaing or dyeing my hair.

Starting pictures are attached.

Hi, I would really like to join this challenge. My entire head is really thin. My stylist left me bone straight. I believe she only left it on for about 3 mins. :perplexed

DC 1-2x a week
Just started taking B-5. Hope that helps.

^^I can relate. Ms Feliz. I dont like being able to see my scalp.:nono:
She was like every 6-8 wks. No mam. How about every 6mnths. :yep:
Maybe I will try Mizani BB next time for fine hair.

ETA: Which relaxer did you use, if you dont mind me asking? I used Motions.

yep i'm surely gonna wait a few months before I get my next perm. She told me a while ago that she uses keracare for my hair. I can't see my scalp, but my hair is sooo flat I feel like i'm rubbing a smooth head and not hair

That's like one of the worst feelings in the world. And then you look in the mirror and look like a wet seal because your hair has no volume or texture or anything at all. :(

Exactly! The 'newness' doesnt wear off for me until about 3mths. Ah well. as long as I retain and it doesnt get any thinner. The new growth starts coming in.......hmmmm.....hmmmmm.......what's that.......wait for it  Ok. no more talking bad about my hair....

I'd like to join if it's not too late. The rules are fine because they coincide with the 2010 Bootcamp rules to some extent. My starting pic is in my siggy!

My regimen is pretty simple (lol IMO)...
-Moisturize and seal daily (focusing on ends)
-Baggy overnight once per week
-Baggy 1-2 hours 1-2 days per week
-Poo Wash 1-2 times per month
-Co-Wash 2-3 times per week
-DC once a week
-Protein bi-monthly (in between as needed)
-All protective (buns) and low manipulation styles
-No heat until 03/01/09

Count me in!! here's my plan

-No heat whatso ever until June(bday)
-cowash/dc 2-3 per week
-texlax every 8-10 weeks, my hair starts to break if i stretch to long
-dust w/every texlax
-protective styling(buns and halfwigs)
-moisturize and seal daily

both pics were taken in dec, the first pic was taken before i trimmed my ends..i think i did a horrible job btw:perplexed
