All, right, y'all!!! 167 of us signed up to take this challenge; SO LET'S GO GET IT!!!!

Here's what's going to happen;

There will be 4 threads (beginning with this one) posted throughout the year to help us track and document our progress and to help keep our threads "manageable." Subsequent posts will be in April, July and October.

I'm really glad you made this thread! Right now, I'm still focusing on BSL so I can get to MBL before the end of the year. I just had a perm (you can check my fotki) and I'm about 2 inches or so away from BSL, I'm guessing.

I'm gonna work extra hard so I can try to reach BSL by my next relaxer. . .which should be in late Feb or March. Then I want to hit MBL by June/July so I can start trimming.

My 09 starting point is in my siggy and in my fotki. Its more like the last week of DEC but I'm sure its not much growth difference between a week.

You're very inspirational LHDC, i too am not bsl yet. But like you say, "if you believe it, you can achieve it." Anything is possible... Hopefully next week wednesday i'll be able to come back and post an update pic.

It's hard to tell how many inches you need...I'd say about 6??? That's a rough guesstimate, though.

I'm due for a relaxer this weekend, even though I am trying to hold out longer, I have an event to go to this weekend. I know if I don't do it this weekend, I will wait another 2-3 weeks. either way..I will have progress pics in my siggy and/or avatar soon.

Flat ironed Hair-12/08

Hey Ladies,
I hope it's not too late to join. Here's my starting pic.

Regimine:
Wash weekly with DE moisture retention shampoo.
Deep condtion with joico moisture recovery.
I use DE instant express moisturing condish as a rinse.
Apply aphogee green tea keratin, DE styling lotion and chi silk infusion.
Roller set or Blow dry and hot curl.

I will post my photos after my relaxer on Tues. Jan. 13. My starting photo is in my siggie.

Sorry ladies, but I'm going to withdraw out of this one. I've decided that I want to focus more on the health and appearance of my hair, which may require me to do some trimming in the future, so I don't want to worry about meeting deadlines I may or may not reach. But I wish you all the best on your journies and happy growing .

I'm still aiming for MBL this year. I'm ~1" from BSB. I'm back in braids (as of yesterday) and I have stepped up my game. In June, I hope to be fully BSB.
