miconazole nitrate in '08

I am using MN mix (3 weeks) and I have noticed that I have a lot of new growth at only 6 weeks . I usually don't notice any new growth until about week 8 or 9. I can't wait to get my next relaxer to see how long my hair has grown. If I can deal with my new growth I will stretch till 4/26 (18 weeks). Otherwise, I am on schedule for relaxer 3/15 (12 weeks).

I've been using it for about 2 weeks but my hair is in braids right now and I can't say for sure if its working or not. I used it for a good week and a half before the braids and I thought I saw a new wave pattern (new growth) forming but brushed it off b/c it had only been a week. I had little over an inch of newgrowth before the braids, so I'll continue using MN until my braids come down and then I'll be able to tell for sure. I'll be checking for length, thickness or both.
 
I use it still, but I haven't used it everyday (I'm not sure if you are supposed to). I am also using L-Cysteine, which I heard is supposed to help your hair grow. And MSM, so I can't know. Hopefully at the very least, it will add to the easy maintenance and care for my hair, since I'm going natural!
 
I was using it everyday, but i've laid off to about twice a week. I still see growth, although not as much as I was with daily use. But its a keeper. I haven't had side effects or anything bad, just a little dryness that i worked out.
 
I use it every once in a while .

When I use it every day or every other day I get spectacular growth, Im just lazy and just dont do it as much :lol:
 
I'm gettin a lot of growth with it!! Because of the new growth...I'm also gettin krazy shrinkage....lol...I need to buy saran wrap so my hair will lay flat because at this point...my hair is like....:eek2: ..it just won't lie down witout a flatiron. I'm only 4 weeks post but it looks like I'm about 6 or 7
 
UH oh, looks like I gotta buy some tubes from Family Dollar. I am in dire need of 2 inches from APL by May...then another 2 by my birthday in AUgust. I know it can be done, but I have extremely slow growth.
 
I was introduce to this website by a member called patiencevirtue and she started growing her hair a year ago. I see her every day and let me be this first to tell you I should have followed her regiment when she started. Her hair has grown so so much from using Miconazole Nitrate (Target Brand) and she love EMU oil too. I feel like a fool but I am now trying and hopfully I will have the same result...
 
Never tried it. I know some ladies complained of headaches. That's one thing I don't need any more suseptibility to. But all this growth you guys are getting, it's tempting. What's the cheapest you've found it?
 
I love it and just need to get back on it and stick with it. Havent use it in a while, but when I do I get some good growth.

LOL :lachen::lachen:This is the only problem I have when I use it, but not complaining at all. The growth is great, but it will have you needing a relaxer sooner because of the growth :wallbash:.
 
I just started back using it. I was using it last year around April or May and really noticed growth while using it, but I stopped because there were so many growth aid raves going on that I fell off the MN bandwagon. But I started back on it a week ago and I'm alternating it with BT. I can't report on any growth results with it just yet because I've only been using it a week. But I will say again that I did notice good growth while using it awhile back.

Some ladies that have gotten headaches from it will go back and mix it with other things and oils and that have made a difference. When I use it I always mix mine with carrier oils and essential oils for growth and it last alot longer when you mix other things with it.

I have used walmart and family dollar brand which is the cheapest that I have found. The only problem I noticed that I wasnt getting really any growth with the walmart brand vs the family dollar brand. I dont know what could be the difference, but I will always use the family dollar brand :yep: and its 5.19 for a large size tube.
 
The cheapest I've found my MN is at Dollar General. It's $5 per box and sometimes I buy about 3 or 4 boxes at a time. I know the women behind the register probably think I'm nuts, but I don't care honey, I'm on a mission. I've never been one to be ashamed to buy those types of things b/c I'm a woman and women have problems. They wouldn't make or sell this stuff if we didn't, so it's there and I buy it. The current MN mix I have contains 2 full tubes of MN. I'm probably going to buy 2 or 3 more boxes tomorrow so that I'll have a stash on hand when my current mix runs out.

As far as the headaches go, I haven't noticed any b/c I mix mine with other stuff. I've never used it straight, although I've been meaning to. I've heard it's more effective to use it straight as opposed to mixing it with other stuff.
 
I just started using NeosporinAF 3 days ago. I'll report back after I've been using it for a while. I'm in micros right now. I'm using it straight before spraying my hair and extensions with braid spray.
 
How much growth are you ladies getting from this stuff? Some seem to get as much as 1" of new growth in 2 weeks!

I mean, if it's like that, I could be BSL by the end of 2008 (even with my BC), and I'm transitioning!

What kind of growth are you really getting? Thanks! I've used it off and on!

I think im getting about 1/2 - 1" a month.

Yup, I still use it. Started late December and pretty much use it daily, depending on my hairstyle.

I achieved about an inch and a half of new growth in 3 weeks. I won't be using it for the 2-3 weeks because i will probably be in a quick weave.

I still use it; I started in November 07 with a brand of MN from AmericaRx.com, and got little to no results; after reading all the threads about how good the Family Dollar brand is, I switched to their brand and got really good results (the most ng I had ever seen on my head, and since I went 3 months without a relaxer, I could have almost gone natural with all the coils I had).

I mix mine with BT (and other stuff) and do not get the headaches. I apply it every other day. On the "other" day, I apply an essential oil mixture.

I still use it with great results. I have not taken progress pics this month because I had to get a trim to get some of my relaxed ends off (transitioning) I use it every day or every other day. I will post pics again at the end of this month I supposed. I mix mine...with no headaches. I did just start taking MSM about 2 weeks ago...MSM powder in addition to my vitamins...so hopefully by summer I wil have my desired results.

I am going to also try to Family Dollar Brand next. I have heard so many positiive things about it.
