I use profectiv products on my Mom's hair and it seem to increase growth and prevent breakage so now that I'm natural, I will be using Profectiv Breakfree Daily Leave-in Strengthener as my cream in the LOC method. I will use this consistently for the next three months to see if my hair responds to it. I detangle once per week and I want to see if I lose less hair during my detangling session. I also bought Jamaican Black Castor oil and have been applying it to my edges and sometimes my hair. In three months I will see if my edges look/get any better.:afro:

I will make and use a mix of castor, mustard and peppermint oils, for my edges.
Piqui oil on dry hair (a little on my palm before unbraiding or if I put some loose twist as needeed on the ends).
Avocado oil on wet hair to rinse when there is too much sebum, might add some ylang ylang to it.
Ayurvedic powders mix to rinse.
Pracaxi, castor, mustard tea tree oil to detangle sometimes will add AVG.
I already used my monthly protein treatment hairvéda methi.

Have never heard of Piqui oil before. What is it and what does it do?

It's an oil from Brazil in term of consistency it's quite similar to sapote oil. It is also scented but a fruited scent (which I like) more or less like passion fruit.

It is known to define, nourrish and protect hair while combing.
It's a great oil for skin too (anti oxydant and inflamatory, restorative, nutritive properties...).

I use it sometimes on my face mixed with AVG.
I mostly use it on my daugther's hair in the morning after I put some AVG. It defines her curls perfumes and nourrishes her hair.

Here is the link where I bought mine it's a french site with further more explanation (origins, use, etc...) if you have a translation tool.
