Great thread!

In 2011, I will be keeping:
Washing on average once a week
Using olive oil for my twists
Using shampoo just on the scalp unless I have product buildup
Twisting for growth
DC with every wash
Using Nexxus Humectress and Goldwell Kerasilk and Nioxin #5 shampoo and conditioner
Measuring using new ruler method
Bunning my hair and then flatironing
Using up the products I already own

In 2011, I will be leaving behind:
Having the salon trim my hair
Going to the salon period (there is way too much negativity towards natural hair in everyone I've been to)
Wearing wash n gos or any non stretched hairstyles (way too many tangles and knots)

In 2011, I would like to try: (even though some I may try this year)
Bunning with sticks like the ladies from the classic length thread
Having my hair steamed
Trimming my hair using feye's method
Using liquid mousse when flatironing

Scalp massages - I must, must increase this
Self perming tips (learned on your other thread grow)
Stretching relaxers

My impatience (I don't know who I'm kidding)
Taking status pics too often

Going into 2011 I'll take:

PH balancing my hair.
Protective styling my hair
Giving my hair a breath of fresh air once per week
Henna'ing monthly
Moisturizing every single day
Deep conditioning weekly with moisture and protein, alternating.
detangling only once per week
Using strictly organic products
Dusting

Things I will leave behind in 2010
Brushes
Split ends
Sleeping without my satin bonnet
Ignoring my hair's thirst for water
playing in my hair before it dries
chemicals
heat
trimming every 3 months

Things without a verdict:
Washing twice a week. (Maybe i can pull off once per week if I'm moisturzing every single day)
The Denman. A wide toothed comb has trouble catching all my shed hairs. Maybe I'll buy a denman...
Keeping protective styles in longer than one week. (That just screams tangles and rough detangling session) I don't want to pay to get my hair twisted professionally and then leave it in for only a week. But if I do I might have a hard time detangling that crap.

I will take:

*LHCF
*Airdrying
*washing 2x a week (I hope)
*Using castor oil
*Writing down my wash regimen
*Relaxing every 12-14 weeks
*Finger detangling my hair with mane and tail detangler before I shampoo
*Moisturizing with my juice mix

I will not take:

*My joico only regimen (I will still use joico products but I will incorporate more mizani and maybe some others)
*Deep conditioning over night (I only did it a few times in '10 but it makes my scalp itch)
