Should I have my hair trimmed

I did not care for my hair like I should have (wearing ponytails, not deep conditioning, being genreally lazy :perplexed) right after my relaxer two weeks ago and I started to have some breakage. But now I am back on track (got the aphogee 2min reconstructor and prepooed w/olive oil) and I am wondering if I should have my hair trimmed. My ends appear to be just broken and not split. I dusted them the other day and am thinking that if I incorporate this into my monthly routine opposed to going to a scissor happy stylist I may be better off. any suggestions?

I just got mine trimmed, and dust often. I try not to hold on to damaged hair. I want to grow it as healthy as I can. I found a hair page, read her tips, or even her 1st tip (Ultimate Guide to Growing Healthy Long Hair: 20 Steps Teach You How to Grow Long Hair. Good Luck Anna

a picture would help.

how are you styling your hair? If you want to wear your hair out I say trim it neatly so that it looks nice and healthy.
