I want to find some shampoos that don't have any or as many 'harsh detergents' in them. what would you suggest?

I'd like a good moisturizing shampoo and a good clarifying shampoo!!

thanks for any suggestions

moisture? I second Nexxus Therappe but it does have SLS in it
Design Essentials Moisture Retention doesnt have any harsh ingredients and it says its gentle enough for daily use which I like since Im active. This is my original favorite shampoo before becoming a PJ

Design Essentials Organic Cleanse-gentle clarifier that removes all impurities without stripping.

IC 100% Pure Tea to clarify--use just a tiny bit and dilute it in water, worked really well and I only paid $1 for a small bottle at the BSS.

I dont think NTM has the detergents either...cant find mine right now(too many products to rummage through...lol)

NTM for moisture and Lanza Deep Cleansing shampoo to clarify
it really cleans your hair without stripping best I ever used.

Shea Care Exxit Shampoo is a wonderful natural clarifying shampoo. Clarifies hair w/o stripping it dry.

Tea Tree Triple Threat Shampoo by Giovanni is a good natural clarifying shampoo. The tea tree and other ingredients in it cleans your hair and removes build up.

I just bought the Phytospecific Vital Force Shampoo and its really moisturizing.

Vital Force Shampoo highly hydrates and deeply nourishes very dry, damaged, and brittle hair. Illipe butter and barley milk restore the hair shaft and strengthen easily breakable hair.

Jason Sea Kelp is a good moisturizing shampoo.

So are Breakthru, Mode de Vie and Aveda Curessence.

Some good clarifying shampoos are Avalon Lemon Verbena, Elasta QP Scalp Stimulating Shampoo and Nutrine Garlic Shampoo.

hmmm <<rubs chin>> these are all interesting suggestions. thanks a lot...we'll see...hopefully i can test some of these out soon!

I am married to my bottles of Salerm shampoo and Creme of Nature (white bottle with the GREEN words). I simply can't decide which one is better. Both are so impressive and leave my hair feeling like silk.

Alba Shampoo
ElastaQp
Creme of Nature
Aubrey Organics

I can't think of which ones, but I know these lines have a shampoo that is sulfate free.

I would suggest Hair Therapy's Line of products althought they do contain some Sulfate I still think they are good to use.
