Round brush technique

Ok ladies, I purchased a 100% boars head round brush from Target today for $9.99. It says it can be used to blowdry hair straight and to promote shine.

Alrighty - I want to try this thing on my daughter - what is the technique to straighten hair and to not tangle the hair in the brush? I am not in the mood for cutting hair out of the brush.

Thanks for any information anyone can provide. Videos and pictures of technique are most definitely welcome. As you can prolly tell I am looking to mimic the dominican stylists!

Thanks

I wrote some tips down in my journal with some links attached:

I also did another search on youtube and found this:

Focus your note-taking on what she's doing here w/the brush not on the fact that the client has straight hair (same for Richard's videojug video in my journal.)

There are more that I've seen, but I can't remember them. Google pulls up a lot of results.

I think I might have the same brush that you got at Target. If so, its bristles are soft and will work through the hair very nicely, not pulling the hair out. I don't get any breakage when I use it (which is rare now that I rollerset so much).

Sylver2 has a fotki tutorial also that's pretty good, but I find videos to be a bit more helpful...

(Also, if you find that getting the technique down is not something you are getting, try rollersetting her hair, and then use the round brush on her roots. That brush is just as effective that way...)

HTH :)
