Airdry: Bantu Knots
Pros- It's easy. Looks good. And I can airdry while I sleep.

Cons- Takes the night to set the style. If I'm too lazy then I have to do a shrunken fro, which is fine it's just not protective at all because I get more knots when I let my hair shrink.

Products- I rarely wear shrunken fros, but if I do it's just water and castor oil. My daily style is a bantu-knot out. I use coconut oil to detangle my wet hair before I two strand twist it. I add castor oil to the twists, esp. ends, before I knot it. Each night I dampen with water and add more castor oil and retwist/knot.

How often repeat/keep before wash- I can keep the bantu knot out for a week before it looks a mess, because I reknot at night. But, I like to rinse or wash every 3 or 4 days.

Day or night?- I always do it at night. I rinse (or wash with baking soda) then detangle with coconut oil. Twist, add castor oil. Then knot. I let it dry while I sleep (with my bonnet on).

Style if in the day- I generally just wear a curly fro with a head band. Or I pin it up.

How long does it typicaly take? If I've just rinsed/washed then it takes about 45mins to detangle, twist, and bantu knot (15 twists/knots). Nightly it takes about ten minutes to dampen with water, add castor oil, and do about 10 knots.

I don't use any of the other methods.
