Why did you relax?
What was your length?
How have you maintained the health of ur hair?
Can u see progress since relaxing?
What relaxer did you use?
What is your current regi on a daily basis?
How do u do ur hair at night?
What is ur goal length?
Do u think u will go back to being a natural?

Why did you relax? I figured it'd be easier to straighten and style + less knotting
What was your length? touching shoulder
How have you maintained the health of ur hair? same reggie pretty much my hair is very very mildly relaxed (texlaxed) so I use the same techniques
Can u see progress since relaxing? - well I know its grown I've got some serious roots (I colour as well)
What relaxer did you use? Mizani
What is your current regi on a daily basis? it's full weaved up, I grease my scalp with evoo and castor oil at night, put my MN/ sulphur mix on my hairline, baggie and in the morning spray MT on my scalp
How do u do ur hair at night? put weave in a ponytail and baggie
What is ur goal length? WL
Do u think u will go back to being a natural? Maybe - I mean I only intend to relax twice maximum thrice a year- I would leave the relaxer a bit longer though, this in between stage is not much different from having my natural hair

Why did you relax? - I wanted a change. (I had natural hair all my life and my mom had been doing my hair all my life. Got a relaxer at 18.)
What was your length? - armpit length
How have you maintained the health of ur hair? - I've tried the whole "listening to my hair" thing.. which is hard when a.) dealing with my hair for the first time and b.) dealing with a relaxer for the first time. I deep condition about 1 or 2 times a week, conditioner wash 2 or 3 times a week, and am almost always bunned up!
Can u see progress since relaxing? - Yes! I've been pretty happy with my progress thus far.
What relaxer did you use? - I'm using ORS No Lye regular strength
What is your current regi on a daily basis? - If I cowash or shampoo/DC, I pretty much spray with a moisturizing mist (like dove's sheer moisture or shescentit's moisture mist) and seal with coconut oil or shescentit's seyani hair butter. Then I bun it. If I didn't wash, I don't bother taking the bun out - I just moisturize and seal the outer perimeter. Since I wash often, my ends stay pretty moist.
How do u do ur hair at night? - I just throw a silk scarf and silk bonnet on top of it.
What is ur goal length? - I'm pretty sure it's midback length. That might change, though.
Do u think u will go back to being a natural? - I might! Or not. I dono.

Why did you relax? I wanted my hair to be easier to maintain and faster styling

What was your length? Was SL but I had to cut all those ***** ends

How have you maintained the health of ur hair? so far so good

Can u see progress since relaxing? I have noticeable growth in 3 weeks and it's still thick

What relaxer did you use? can't remember what the stylist used

What is your current regi on a daily basis? wash every other day, moisturize, seal and oil scalp

How do u do ur hair at night? I wrap and put on silk scarf

What is ur goal length? APL

Do u think u will go back to being a natural? I might.....not ruling it out at all

Why did you relax? Three reasons: It is easier/quicker to keep my hair styled, which better represents my profession as a hair stylist. I like to wear my hair straight/smooth without having to worry about reversion, especially for workouts. After 3.5 years natural, I was ready for a hair change.
What was your length? Brastrap
How have you maintained the health of ur hair? I'm still keeping it simple, shampooing at least once a week, regular deep conditioning, sleeping on satin, regular trims.
Can u see progress since relaxing? I'm not on a progress track, just keeping it in good condition.
What relaxer did you use? Affirm
What is your current regi on a daily basis? I've never had a daily regimen.
How do u do ur hair at night? Put it in a high ponytail if it's rollerset or cover it with my satin sleep scarf if it's straight.
What is ur goal length? I don't have one.
Do u think u will go back to being a natural? I may, someday, when I'm ready for another hair change.

Why did you relax? I was moving from DC to Miami and I thought easier to handle my hair if it was relaxed.
What was your length? When I first relaxed again after 4 years natural I was between SL and APL
How have you maintained the health of ur hair? When I first relxed I did not take good care of my hair. Since my hair had grown healthy and strong as a natural, I felt like I could do anything to my hair.
Can u see progress since relaxing? I can see progress now that I am taking care of my hair. My hair is as strong and as healthy as it was natural.
What relaxer did you use? I cant remember what she used.
What is your current regi on a daily basis? I co-wash at least 2x a week, DC 2x a week and wear my hair in a bun 90% of the time and if i am going somewhere nice I might do a pin curl. I always airdry and never use heat. Mostiurize my hair and seal with oil once a day.
How do u do ur hair at night? I either pin curl or jus wrap a silk scraf on at night.
What is ur goal length? BSL
Do u think u will go back to being a natural? I think about it sometimes, but I think I enjoy wearing stright styles and wouldnt want to have to use heat if I was a natural. But who knows, I miss my curls sometimes.

Okay when you relaxed how much hair did you have to cut off?
Or did you just have to do a light dusting. I hear some people say they didn't cut anything off.

^^^You are very persistent:grin:, I love it! So far you have gotten some wonderful responses. I hope you get more:yep:.

Why did you relax?-ease of styling
What was your length?neck, but cut to ear level bob:sad:
How have you maintained the health of ur hair? use low or no heat
Can u see progress since relaxing? I have 1/4" new growth, already
What relaxer did you use?ORS olive oil relaxer
What is your current regi on a daily basis? mostly roller set/ wrap
How do u do ur hair at night? wrap w. silk scarf
What is ur goal length? Brastrap, but it will take a long time.:ohwell:
Do u think u will go back to being a natural?
No, my carpal tunnel made styling too hard, that's why I relaxed again.

Why did you relax?
I couldn't hang in there with the shrinkage and dry, hard hair. I tried everything -- every product, every technique -- nothing worked for me.

What was your length?
Just past shoulder length and it still is.

How have you maintained the health of ur hair?
I had to buy new products but basically I'm wearing wash n goes and my hair loves it!

Can u see progress since relaxing?
It's only been a couple of weeks but my hair is very healthy.

What relaxer did you use?
Mizani.

What is your current regi on a daily basis?
Co-wash, scrunch a bit and air dry.

How do u do ur hair at night?
I add a bit of hair butter to the ends and wear a hair bonnet. Not very cute but effective.

What is ur goal length?
None. In fact, I may cut it to chin length. I just want healthy hair.

Do u think u will go back to being a natural?
It's possible. It helped my hair to grow out strong and healthy so if I find my hair's getting unhealthy again while relaxed, I know I can fix the damage by growing it out natural again.
