Hi Ladies:wave::

Has anyone else done this? If so, did you like it?

I am about to wash my hair:yay::lol:. Anyway, I was getting ready to make my usual henna mix, and something said to pour the amla oil first. So I did:yep:. I mixed it and it made this lovely dark green liquid. So then I thought, why don't I try this and see if it works. My hair hasn't just loooooooooved my henna mix (oil, henna, hot water and conditioner), but for some reason, I think this is going to work.

I'll let you know the results.

I tried it before....I didn't like it. It didn't do anything to my hair. No color or anything. So I went back to water and acv. Next time I'll try yogurt.

i read something about how adding oil to henna impedes the dye release process. it makes it easier to rise out, but it makes it more difficult for the dye to deposit into the strand.

i guess it would be okay if you're henna-ing just for the conditioning benefits.

Well I believe that. Because...I didn't get any color.
I use it to get color....so adding just the oil is not for me. Plus I don't have a problem getting mine out.......I shampoo afterwards anyway.
I love the color and strength of my hair after a henna treatment.
