March 2020: Hits & Misses

Hits

First Washngo of 2020. ( beautiful, curly, soft, lasted 7 days)
Product Junkie Naturals Rosemary Collection as a whole ( Oil, Shampoo, Deep conditioner, Leave in/Cream and Gel)

Misses

Detangling my hair after said washngo , so much hair in the brush/comb.( need to rewash after 3 days to stay on top of the hair meshing)
Tangles and Beyond product molding after receiving it two months ago and never used.
PJN Rosemary Creamy Shampoo, it was so creamy I added too much. With this less is better,

Miss
Terra Veda Organix - Curl Shampoo. Works like a clarifying shampoo and not a moisturizing shampoo.
Curl serum and gel. Drying on my hair. I need a better more moisturizing leave in.
Inahsi leave in. Sucks the moisture out of my hair.
I'm in the market for a leave in. Any suggestions???

Missish: Kinky Curly knot today

It used to work but the result just isn't what I remember when I was using it around 5 years ago. My hair reacts to it like it has protein.... My hair does better with hair milks

Hits

Tangles and Beyond Pure Mud Mask, I steamed it in because it was so thick and after rinsing out my hair was buttery soft and clean

Tangles and Beyond Lather sample, Its a body/hair wash with shea butter blend. Used it to wash my hands and it was really nice

APB Simple Hair Creme, all the ingredients I have a problem with are not in this. Creamy, softening hair creme..simple!

NLS Irish Moss Styling Cream, creamy, smooth and curl defining

Misses

Tangles and Beyond, smh
NLS Irish Moss Styling Cream, so thick it takes a long time to sink in, so dont go anywhere before hand ,lol

Instant Hit: HiBar Moisturize Shampoo. Has a lot of slip and moisturizes.

On the fence: HiBar Moisturize Conditioner. Obviously it isn't going to be like using a regular conditioner but idk if there's just a learning curve, not enough used, etc. Was okay.
Definitely a learning curve. When the strands are thoroughly coated it's quite moisturizing upon rinsing but it's hard to know if you have enough coverage. I guess the only miss with these bars is their weird shape. Still want to try Ethique in the future and see which one I like better.

Hit:
Keraveda Crystal Shampoo- leaves hair soft and clean. I’m able to gently detangle while washing.

Bellebar Henna Gloss
Bellebar Green Tea Rinse- both of these products are strengthening. The gloss mixed with SSI Papaya DC makes the DC useful. The tea rinse is a great curl refresher.

Keraveda DC- slippy I love it! It’s perfect after a strengthening treatment. My hair is so soft. I love it more than SSI Marumallow and SSI is my holy grail of moisturizing conditioners.

Bellebar Onion Garlic oil- I’m seeing less shedding since using it.

Misses:
Bellebar price point. I’m only doing sales with them.
Bellebar smells is not a good esthetic. They could stand to use some essential oils to offset the smell. I love a good herbal smell, but the green tea and oil needs work in the fragrance department. I was able to offset the smell with lemongrass essential oil.

meh:
Cream & Coco's DC'ers - I am totally "underwhelmed" by them.

I am so glad I have zero b/ups of these and consider them part of my 1-offs purchases.

I will be glad when they are done.:ohwell:

I did like their Spun Sugar Reconstructor, but the DC'ers are overpriced and under preforming.

Where or what step in your wash routine did you use the rinses
@Bette Davis Eyes
I used both the FRW and Rosemary & Peppermint after I cleansed and under my DC'er.

Next Wash Day, I will use the Rosemary & Peppermint as a final rinse and leave it in. It has a lingering refreshment kinda like Sea Breeze.:cold:

The Black Tea & Chai is a L-I. And I need to read up on the Guava Leaf because the Label rubbed off.:ohwell:
