How do you get that scarf to stay on at night!?!?!?

Re: How the f*&$ do you get that scarf to stay on at night!?!?!?

I use a silk scarf triangled and tied in the front. Then I put a satin bonnet on over it then pull it back off the forehead a little so that the front knot of the scarf is exposed but the hanging loops from the bow are still under the bonnet.

It's a little hiked-up in the back by morning, but it stays on 98% of the time.

exactly what I do :yep:

I put four pins on my scarf to pin it down, it hardly ever comes off. I put infront and 2 in the back like a square around my head. Hope this helps

i put an elastic headband on over my silk scarf and it works great!

I find that sleeping with a silk scarf on top of a silk pillowcase works. never slips off

yeah, that works much better than a cotton pillowcase. it still slips off, but not as often for me w/both a silk scarf and pillowcase.

I have thought about just purchasing a satin pillow case from one of those Puerto Rican furniture in Boston. That way when my scarf slipps off I will be covered...Cuz lawd knows I hate the feeling of waking up mid-night tryna fix my scarf

I use a do-rag. I find that the double wrap of string insures that it stays on my head. Scarfs, no matter what (or how many layers I use) ALWAYS come of my head.

I agree. My do-rag has never come off......EVER! My scarf....now that's a different story:perplexed.

This is not a scarf... it's a bonnet but it really works. It never comes off my head and my niece is 8-years-old and sleeps like a wild woman...and this things stays on her head. I got it at Sallys.

I use a regular 24 x 24 scarf and double tie it. I took a few photos last night to demonstrate for another thread.

If I do not make the extra loop around the front, I lose my scarf in the sheets. I have rollers in tonight, hence the bump in the back.

Hope these photos help.

Ends tied at front. Had I not been in rollers tonight, I'd have more slack at the front.

I have been having a problem with my scarf staying on all night so this past Friday after I saw Meet the Browns, I stopped by a beauty supply store an bought a satin bonnet. It is called "Stay on Satin" and it actually stays on all night.
