Help hair is really sticky!!!

Okay, I washed my hair this weekend here is what I used:

1. Carols Daughter(CD) Rosemary Mint Shampoo
2. Mixture of CD smoothie and aveda damage remedy, left on for an hour.
3. Mixture of KenCare Setting Lotion(.5 bottle), CD Leave In conditioner(.25 bottle), and water(.15 bottle) to wrap my hair and air dry overnight.

My hair came out sooooo sticky, no body, and quite tangled. I don't know what I did wrong, my hair on the ends feel so dry and frizzy!!!

Help please!!!!

I don't see any oils...maybe that could be it. I'm just guessing here

Is that half a bottle of setting lotion you used?
I haven't used setting lotion for years but I remember even a little bit being quite sticky. Try not using that.

Also, make sure you rinse out your shampoo and conditioner fully.

Carols Daughter is primarily an oil based product and its on the heavy side too ( I have relaxed hair which is why i no longer use, i couldnt get that mess out). Usually H20 is not in the product or not the first 3 ingredients either. That mixed with setting lotion...probably not good. I would try products that complimented ea. other a little more. Also, maybe they do compliment but u were too heavy handed with one of those products. IMO, setting lotion works the best when your hair is very clean, oil free, and not too much is used.
