Well, at least this is what I've been told at multiple BSS. I used to be able to find the small jar of regular (no mix) lye affirm without any problems. However, now when I go into the stores, I can only find the jars of affirm that are half filled and come with a small bottle of mix in activator taped to it (calcium hydroxide no lye formulas). I've been told that Avlon no longer packages the regular lye formula in the smaller 16 oz jars and lye relaxer is only available in the large tubs. I'm not sure how factual this info is, but I haven't seen a small jar of lye affirm in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time...
