Finally got a pic up! Caruso Curlers

Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!

I've been a lurker for a while and finally joined last week but couldn't get any pics up. I think I finally got it.

Anyhow, I'm trying to grow my hair to the middle of my back but I've always had trouble getting it any longer than it is right now. I finally got some good hair products and I'm going to try to get rid of heat everyday :perplexed

Has anyone had any luck with the Caruso curlers? I'm thinking of purchasing them on Amazon.com and setting my hair once a week with them, thus getting rid of my straightening iron. Not sure how that will work but it's worth a try. I sleep on a satin pillow and never wrap. Mostly blow dry and straight iron. I know I need to get rid of heat in some way so I'm hoping using the curlers once a week will be better than straight ironing every day. My hair is so thick and dry though that if I don't straight iron every day, it will be a mess.....that is unless I"m doing something wrong.

Any advice would be appreciated. I'm a 4b with VERY thick hair.

I've never used them, but I heard they're pretty good. The only thing is, some people said they're kind of expensive. I did a search and a few people said they liked the Vidal Sassoon ones that were really cheap, but worked exactly the same. I looked online and Target sells them for like $20.
I saw a lot of people selling Caruso rollers on ebay, but it was just the rollers, not the part that heats them up. I didn't do a full search, though.
I hope they work for you (if you buy them). I'm gonna try the Vidal Sassoon ones first.
