Cornrows and halfwigs

I plan on wearing half wigs consistently until December probably when I have my reveal. This way since I'm SL I can have hair out without worrying about the whole brushing up on clothes thing.

My question is for those that wear half wigs, If I have a cornrow across the front of my head and at the back for the wig comb to go through my hair should still be fine right?

As in no breakage or receding hairlines for the combs? I prefer the combs because I feel more secure with them.

I never had issues with the comb. But if you didn't want to use the comb, you could use hairpins to secure a draw-string wig.

Most people who are afraid of the combs cut them out (its easy, use one side/blade of a pair of scissors or a seam picker) and then just use bobby pins instead (push the pin through the mesh and then into your hair). Bobby pins keep it very secure.
