Color too dark!!!!!

I colored my hair with Miss Clairol Beautiful Darkest Brown over the weekend. I wanted a nice dark brown. It looks more black than brown. My husband thinks its pretty but it a little over powering for me. Any suggestions for toning it down? I know it will wash out eventually. Any suggestions for another dark brown color? Thanks!!!!!

Like you said it will wash out and tone down eventually. Try washing your hair again, sometimes you might not wash your hair out properly and you will end up with color still in your hair, therefore making it appear darker. Wash with a clarifying shampoo. Also darkest brown is not that far of a color from black...but in the sun, you should be able to see brown. Hope this helps.
