can you texlax although you have already relaxed str8?

I just did my first perm on natural hair last week. Can I lightly perm new growth and just continue to texlax or do I have to cut off the str8 part?

You can transition to texlaxed and gradually trim if your ends become to look thin in comparison to the thicker roots. If you want to wear twistouts,etc u may have to roll the ends to get them to curl. But within a year or so with a few trims you should be fully texlaxed.

I would trim the straight part and keep the texlaxing but do not cut the straight part all off but by all means do not mix the two, tangles is too crazy.
