Can someone define Co-Wash

I think I am confusing myself can someone define a co-wash for me.
Is it washin' your hair with conditoner first? Or just washing your hair with conditioner only?

As far as I understand it, co-washing only involves using conditioner. It's supposed to be more gentle on your hair and less likely to dry it out.

Right, washing your har with conditioner instead of shampoo. Yeah, conditioner only. It's suppose to give moisturizing benefits.
