C&G Question

I was wondering if you could do the C&G method without using fake hair. I can't stand any kind of fake hair on my head and usually when I get it in I'm itching to take them out.

So I'm thinking if I follow the same method of doing the pencil size box braids but on my own hair, will that work? Robin(is that her name) says something about the weight of the hair putting the right amount of pressure on your scalp and that helping the growth. So ladies please chime in, what do you think?
