Breakouts and hair products

Today, I went to get my microderambrasion session and my facialist observed a lot of breakouts along my chin and jawline. I told her that I had never had breakouts in that area until I began to moisturise and seal. She told me that the if I had oils in my shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser that those things had a way of seaping on to the face.

I change my pillow cases and hair ties twice to three times a week. I now force myself to sleep on my back. I am thinking that I need to cut back on how many times I seal and moisturise per week and also need to really be meticulous about my sideburns and ears which seep my hair products on to my face.

Any suggestions on how to prevent breakouts from hair products?.

Do you have a silk pillow case? If so, dump it and just use a cotton one with a silk head scarf/bonnet.

I misread your reply. I think I will have to go back to cotton. That's a very good idea.

Do you take supplements? I just went to the derm on Monday and he told me that I have breakouts on the sides of my face along the cheekbones. You can't see it but you can feel it. I'm thinking it's the Biotin because I wash my face constantly. He prescribed a cream and I'm increasing my water intake to see if there is a change.

Bump, Bump, Bump . . .

After your final step on wash day, then pin up your hair and use a good, deep cleansing face wash. And scrub your body too. I was getting bad breakouts at the start of my HHJ, because the runoff from the conditioner and stuff were settling into my skin and clogging it all up.

And if you wear bangs, try to pin them back a few days a week. If they always rest against your face, they can cause pimples.
