Hello Ladies,

I am planning on straightening my hair tonight, I'm texlaxed, and close to one month post relaxer. Since I'm a newbie, I'm looking for advice as to how to straighten my hair with the least damage possible.

I have good tools and products that I plan on using which are the following;

Elucence Moisture Benefits shampoo

Alfaparf Rigen Nourish Cream (Deep Conditioner) or Alfaparf Diamante Illiuminating Mask

Healthy Sexy Hair Leave-in Conditioner (spray) OR Alfaparf Seduction Wearable Treament (cream) OR Salerm 21 leave in (cream)

Kenra Platninum Silkening Gloss (contains heat protectant)

CURLS Creme Burlee Creme Styler

CURLS Blissful Lenghts Kukui nut oil Elixer

Babyliss Pro Hair Dryer

Solia Flat-Iron

I just need the expertise from you ladies so I can get optimum results with minimal heat/manipulation damage. What do you do when you straighten?

Do you blowdry and flat-iron, or do you only do one?

Do you air dry?

Do you use a cream or spray leave-in conditioner?

Do you use a moisturizer? If so, before or after you blowdry/Flat-Iron

Do you use use heat protection products after before blowdrying AND flat-ironing?

Please share your advice, experience, and techniques ....

Sorry for the questionnaire-like format, but I'm a newbie, and I'm terrified of damage!

Thanks in advance!

HERE is a good start.

Can't say that I use minimal heat, and all the other jazz, but I only flat iron 3-4 times a year and its silk straight each time.
