Aveda Damage Remedy or Hydratherma Naturals

Ladies,

Yesterday I went to a salon in DC for a wash and flat iron. I wear my 4a hair natural all the time, but I thought I would see how it's progressed in length and do something different.

Anyway, my ends needed a serious trim because they we frizzy and full of SSK's but what really irritated me was the fact that the stylist said my hair was dry. I have tried almost everything and nothing seems to be working. Or maybe it's my technique, who knows. But I'm frustrated.

So she suggested Aveda Damage remedy b/c it will, "balance out the protein and moisture my hair needs". But I couldn't help but think about Hydratherma Naturals and how it's supposed to do the same thing and is cheaper.

So for those who have 4a, very porous hair- if you've tried both which one do you think is better, Aveda or Hydratherma?
