Hi ladies,

Have any of you used any of these as an alternative to sitting under the dryer or to quickly refresh your curls in the morning???

Hindu Sheen 5 Minute Set

or

Quick 5 Minute Setting Lotion ( I think this used be called Miss Cool)
http://store.ebonyline.com/5-minute-set.html

I heard about these on another board, and was hoping some of you had some experience to share as well.

I would like to try these to refresh my curls in the morning, but want to make sure they aren't damaging.

Let me know.

I use to use Miss Cool Quick set all of the time as a setting liotion at night. I loved it. My hair felt sof after with and a nice curl.

The reason I stopped using it was because I learn that I really don't need a setting liotion. Now that my hair is in decent shape I can set my hair and get a curl without using anything.

I've used to Miss Cool 5 Minute setting lotion..I apply as soon as I get up so that way my hair is setting while I get ready and by the time I'm ready to do my hair it's set..also you only need a little.

I'm interested in trying one of these products. SHould you use sponge rollers with the lotions or would magnetic ones work better?

The Miss Cool was a staple growing up when I would sleep in rollers. I looked into a jar of Hindu Sheen once, but it just looked too heavy for my hair.

Are these products easy to find in BSSs?? I live in NY. I would hate to pay shipping unnecessarily.

I was concerned about the Hindu Sheen because it says "5 minute Curl set and Waving lotion" I thought that meant it has some product in there that would make a permanent curl (like the jerry curl). I hope this is not the case:perplexed

I was thinking of posting this exact same thing after reading some reviews on another board also. I believe the hindu was discussed on here already. I'll try to do a search....

"Miss Cool" has been discontinued. But is was effective when it was in production. I haven't tried any of the others.
