This looks great! I would love to join but I have no products (challenge starts tomorrow). I will be watching from the sidelines though and will hopefully be geared up for the next one.

Good luck everyone!

You don't have to have the products right away, just sign up and start when you get them. You basically have until the end of June to really have a regi to stick with.

please sign me up!

i just got loads of new ayurveda products and need to be held accountable to use them up! this is a great way to do so.

however, i already regularly use bahmi and amla powders as masks for about 20 min. and those same ones as oils in my overnight oil treatment.

I wanna join. :yep:

I'm currently using a home made HOT, with amla and brahmi infused in coconut oil, and I henna every two weeks.

I'm also using a rinse of nettle and rosemary (but I don't think that's ayurvedic).

Please add me... I am already doing this. What's your reggie? and how often... My only concerned is henna and indigo. How do I incorporate them with my powders?

Here I grow again!
Yes! I was waiting on this one to start up. Sign me up! So far I'm using Brahmi and Mahabhringaraj oils. But I'm re-upping and adding shakakai bar and alma to my order. I'll eventually try henna/indigo too....eventually.

I am so tempted to join... I have all of the items I need, but my dense 4b bsl hair is too reliant on my stylist.

Any of u natural ladies want to share whether or not this method makes your hair easier to manage? Is your curl pattern looser?

I am having a hard time dealing with my hair right now.....

I'd like to join, but I'm still in the process of developing my regime. Maybe if there is another challenge (after this one) I'll join. Good luck ladies!

I will be watching this thread. Can't start back with ayurveda until I finish traveling at the end of the summer but I am going to do a henna followed by Indigo treatment next week bc I love to keep my hair jet black

I've been using ayurveda powders for a little over a year now. It's now at least 80% of my haircare regimen. My hair is growing beautifully, and my hair is more moisturized, cleaner scalp, and less tangles and shedding.

Has it loosened my curl pattern - no and I am happy about that! If you're having a hard time with your hair right now, just take extra time out to get your detangling out. Eventhough you rely heavily on your stylist, make a small attempt to try the powders maybe right before your next appointment with her. Experiement, and see how it goes. HHJ

Nova, I think you should still join. This is a 'newbie' ayurveda challenge so majority of everyone is still learning and finding what works/doesn't for them.

how do you get Indigo out in one wash? I co-wash it out and only get about 80% of everything out. Then DC an wash again a few hours later and still only get 15% more. The last 5 perfect of the powder comes out when my hair is dry and I need to shake it out my hair! I have no problem with henna..but indigo gives me trouble

Still using my ayurveda mix! I did another Amla+ Bhrami+ Coconut milk mask on my hair before I got it braided. I have some JBCO + Amla+Bhrami that I've been using every other night :) I think I'll be doing some tea rinses over my braids in the upcoming weeks.

I am just past the 6/30/10 deadline but can I join? I have been using brahmi/amla oil and bhring-raj oil for scalp message and pre-poo. I just used the Godrej Shikakai 3 in 1 shampoo bar for the first time the other day. I have some powders & the Vatika oil that I haven't tried yet but would like to incorporate into my regimen. This challenge would be helpful.

I have a quick question. I am new to the hair powders to wash my hair. I have heenara herbal hair wash poweder. Does anyone know if I can add it to conditioner and use on my hair. i know that this is how a henna gloss is done? I find mixing it as a paste is messy. TIA

i'm getting ready to re incorporate my pastes back into my reggie because the time wait after my recent perm is finishing.

i cannot wait!

i definitely saw alot of progress in quality and growth of my hair when i started using these pastes at the beginning of this year!
