Do People Really Have A Contract With The Devil??

And is this the reason that the seemingly bad, evil and unrighteous people "seem" to continue to get worldy blessings and go on in their lives nearly untouched by tokens of bad luck and hard times?

I've been dealing with some personal issues and my mother sent me an email trying to cheer me up.

She said not to worry about folks and what's going on with them and if they are successful, they may have a contract with the devil.

She said that just because some people are successful and have money and always seem to get exactly what they ask for, doesn't mean that what they get is coming directly as a blessing from God. It may be the Devil.

I had a bad problem with this in my past trying to figure out why wicked folks "seem" to get everything handed to them on a silver platter...My ex was one of those people.

What are yall's thoughts on this?

Hi MizzBrown:

First of all, we must remember that we are all on different paths. And just because you might be at the end of the race, it doesn't mean that you can't catch up and finish first.

I heard some years ago that if you want to be successful, all you have to do is meet the devil in the woods. WHAT???!!! And this came from a guy I was seeing who had a root on him and he was going to the warlock to get it removed. There are all kinds of witchcraft out there; people worshipping different idols/gods.

When I was younger, I knew this girl who seemingly could get away with anything. She even got a handicapped sign because she didn't want anyone to scar her new car. I haven't seen her in years so I don't know how her life has gone lately.

I ran across a woman who was a little upset about the way she was treated by a guy. She actually wanted to know when he would pay for what he had done.

I was seeing a guy and I won't write my book right now  but.....I treated him well. I cooked him a meal when he didn't have a dime to his name. I paid his way a couple of times. I listened to him when he really didn't have anyone else he could really talk to. And then he graduates from college, moves to another state, gets a nice job, and has a nice car. Well, I was unemployed at the time when he came to visit me, and he wouldn't even pay my way into the movies. Now something is wrong when you have someone who REALLY had your back (whether male or female) and you can't even show them that you appreciate them with $7. (It wasn't like I was asking him to pay my rent!)

And I have had some ex-friends who really didn't do me right despite all the HOURS I listened to them on the phone late a night, encouraged them, and comforted them. When I needed them, they were not there for me.

I have forgiven everyone who did me wrong. I had one ex-friend to try to come back in my life recently. I think that people come into our lives for a reason, a season, or forever. Her reason and season have expired. But I do hope she has a good life.

Some people do seem to get away with anything and still prosper. But your Mom is right, we don't know who they have made a deal with. We don't know who (or what) they believe in.

Some people build up treasures on Earth. I am trying to build up my treasures in heaven.

And here's some scripture to remember:

Romans 12:19 (New International Version)

19 Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay,"[a]says the Lord.

I love your answer Metamorfhosis! Whether or not someone has a "contract" with the Devil is not of our concern. In fact, God tells us in Matthew 6:25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? 28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.

Some things, are just out of your hands. Let God make decisions about who is following Him and who is not. If anything, ask God how He can use you to show HIS WAY to others, especially the "wicked" (which I put in quotation marks b/c none of us are w/o sin)!

But to answer your question, I really believe that even though you think someone "always gets their way," in my personal experience, NO ONE gets everything, nor is ANYONE ALWAYS SUCCESSFUL.

God knows EVERYTHING. He created us. He knows EVERYTHING about us. He knows our every thought, in fact He knew every decision we would make and every wrong turn we would take before we were born. Trust me when I tell you, God deals with ALL OF US, BOTH BELIEVERS AND NON-BELIEVERS (WHETHER IT APPEARS THAT WAY TO YOU OR NOT)! WHY IS IT YOUR CONCERN THAT OTHERS PAY FOR THEIR WRONG? FOCUS ON YOUR INDIVIDUAL WALK AND RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. Trust me, GOD DEALS WITH EVERYONE, but not necessarily in the same way. Some people he deals with privately, b/c truthfully, that's the best way they will learn the lesson he wants to teach them.

You don't know what goes on in anyone's life but your own, that's why it says "don't worry." You may look at someone who you think never suffers, but you don't really know. Maybe they have a lot of money, maybe they are really mean, but only God knows the full story. Maybe they aren't mean, but maybe they are a hurting human being who suffered abuse or something like that, so now they are very guarded with people, to the point that they seem mean. You may believe they DESERVE to "get theirs," but only God knows the full story. OR, maybe they are really evil/mean, and God is dealing with them in a different way. ONLY GOD KNOWS! Some people that seem like everything is going their way are TRULY suffering in silence. Some people you think are just going along w/no consequences have illnesses no one knows about, they are severely depressed, their business will collapse in the future, their family hates them, they want to commit suicide, they are secretly in debt, they get death threats. There are a plethora of things that "could be." Or, maybe worse. Maybe life does seem to be going along perfectly, and they continue to be mean/evil to others, not having any idea what lies ahead. What you must realize is that we never see more than a glimpse or what I call a "snapshot" into someone else's life. You will never know the full picture of anyone's life but your own. Even when someone seems evil or disrespectful, only GOD SEES ALL!

Further OP, the difference between God and us, is that God doesn't exact revenge/vengeance in the same way we do, nor does He get a "thrill" when His children (which would be EVERY life ever created) fall. Although we must hate sin, we are to love the sinner. There is a reason for that, and it's because GOD LOVES US, despite our shortcomings and sin! Unlike us, God wants to win ALL HUMAN BEINGS. Do you really think God likes the idea of Satan? Do you really think God likes the idea of something He created ending up in Hell? This is the reason for Jesus! This is the reason we must love our "enemies." God will fight for us until our last breath, when we can no longer fight! And this is the attitude more Christians are supposed to have, but unfortunately, few of us do! For example, if you gave your best friend a pair of beautiful, flawless diamond earrings, you know your intent for her to use that wonderful gift. But technically, doesn't she have the right to "chuck" that gift in the river? Couldn't she choose instead to pawn those earrings for some money? How would this make you feel? I think you'd feel bad and a little upset that she threw the gift you intended for her to enjoy and instead "chucked it." That's how I imagine God feels when we take the life and the beautiful Earth He gave us, and treat it like garbage and treat His fellow children like garbage. He probably feels hurt! So, you can imagine why instead he would want to save all souls!

GOD LOVES US ALL! God's revenge/vengeance isn't for His pleasure, it's to discipline us and show us just how much HE LOVES US! For example, when you were a child, your mother/parent might have said "MizzBrown, don't touch the stove!" Now, you may have believed that your mom was just saying this to make you feel bad or b/c she didn't want you to have fun. But as an adult, you can appreciate why your mother would tell you that (she didn't want you to get burned). It's the same thing with God. I always say, the more we listen to God, the louder His voice is to us, and we can hear Him. The less we listen, the voice often gets softer, but it's always there. There are people in this world who are very distant from God. Maybe they do get caught up in the "world's ways," but if anything, your prayer should be that God work in their lives to bring them home. And b/c God knows their hearts so well, HE KNOWS WHY THEY ARE DISTANT FROM HIM, AND I BELIEVE HE DEALS WITH THEM ACCORDINGLY!

Look at the story of the prodigal son. God cheers when an unbeliever returns. And this is the attitude we must take! We shouldn't cheer when others fall, nor should we cheer at the thought of others being in "cohoots" with the Devil. In fact, it should sadden us:yep:

Finally, why some people are successful again shouldn't be your concern. God loves ALL of His children, and will continue to bless them, even when they aren't perfectly on His path. If He didn't do this, none of us would be here, since we are all sinners/imperfect!

Sorry this post is a little "fiery," but I really felt it had to be written just as it was! The Holy Spirit really came over me!

Psalms 37:1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

I don't know about a "contract" with the devil, but the devil is the prince of this world and don't be surprised when they seemingly prosper. It is all for a season. We who follow the true and living God are truly blessed beyond compare. :) In this life AND after.

Also, keep in mind good and bad falls on the good and bad, but the advantage we have as Christians is that He will be there to help us during our bad. I know it's easier said than lived, but Solomon is only too right when he says everything under the sun is meaningless. I can really relate to you in the sense that I have an older sister who's life mission is to abuse my mother and hurt her and take advantage, to the point that my mom neglects the rest of us to run behind her. I used to say I did the wrong thing trying to be courteous and whatever, because obviously our house government isn't run like that. I can say though, when I look at my life, versus hers...... she may be getting paid, but I am sooo much richer. I have my Father to run to when I'm stressed instead of going in a bad cycle of hurting others and taking taking taking only to never be full, I have wonderful parents in law, my husband (even though hes a stress sometimes, but I am trying to go the extra mile and be Christ like in our arguments so as to make them more productive), my healthy, intelligent, loving baby boy... I am so much more at peace than she is.

Hi MizzBrown:

I ran across a woman who was a little upset about the way she was treated by a guy. She actually wanted to know when he would pay for what he had done.

And me going through hard times financially, emotionally, health issues, career issues ALL AT ONCE is just making it worse.

MizzBrown:

I have been there. You are not alone. I feel like your story was mine.

One day I went to church and the pastor did a special prayer for people who needed to forgive. I didn't go forward for prayer but I decided that forgiveness is something that I needed to do. I forgave everyone who had done me dirty. And I felt better. However, there were like three people who I discussed with GOD. And I would say that it's not right the way they treated me. But you see, I had not fully forgiven them. So it took some time but I left revenge in GOD's hands (well if that's what HE wanted to do).

In regards to a man doing you wrong; I have been there too. Most of us have been there. You are not alone. But you know part of it WAS my fault. I cooked him a special dinner when we first started seeing each other. I took a shower when the meal was ready. He called but didn't leave a message. Right then and there, I should have nipped it in the bud. But no, I gave him another chance. He was a complusive liar. But I gave him another chance. So I am PARTLY to blame for what happened between us. I made the CHOICE to ALLOW him into my life.

The last time I saw him, he was talking about how other women were not like me, etc. I told my friend about what he said and she thought he was going to propose. I knew he wasn't because he was a complusive liar. Well, he came to see me from another state. When he left, I told him to let me know when he got home. He never called. So I am trying to make sure he made it home. Then I realized that I didn't have his home number. So he said SHE might not like it.

That was it for me. You know you treat these men like a king and they use you (or sometimes we ALLOW ourselves to be used). I had enough. And you know I really didn't think about when he would get his. I just know that he would and have tried to erase him from my memory (ok well--except when this song that he used to have on his answering service comes on and I just turn the channel--I can't stand that song). But he's not thinking about me, he has gone on with his life. He was just a lesson.

I have been celibate every since. I am happier now than when I was dealing with a man who really didn't care about me. I didn't know GOD's unconditional love then but I know it now. :heart2:

It also sounds like you have a lot going on at once. I was the same way about 10 years ago. Everything that you could imagine happened to me seemingly at once. I wasn't close to GOD at that time but HE still took care of me. HE will take care of you too!

 I will pray for you tonight.

This was great cocoberry! I'm gonna copy and paste this for my mom to read!

Your moma is so right because so many people who live for the enemy is faking it. Believe half what you see and none of what you hear from them. Having peace, self worth and dignity about yourself is priceless. Your walk and relationship with God is not based on things BUT on who he is. God is the one sure person who will never, ever do you wrong and ONLY wants the best for you but you must be in the right frame of mine to receive his blessing. As your relationship with him because priceless and super tight God will explode blessing in your life you will not have room to recieve it. I know it is hard we have ALL been there when seems like waiting on God is painful and it never going to happen but HE is oh so worth waiting for. For me it has been an absolute best return in my life waiting on God who has never, ever fail me.

Um, the bolded describes me to a T. Still working on that. Someone did me wrong. Several people have done me wrong and I want to know when they'll pay.

Its soo hard to get the feeling out of my heart. It's hard to let God take care of it when they smile in my face and talk to me like nothing happened. ITS SO HARD!:wallbash:

And me going through hard times financially, emotionally, health issues, career issues ALL AT ONCE is just making it worse.

I understand what you are saying OP! But this is why we must take our burdens to the Lord. Only He can walk with us through our "stuff"

And as I always say, "there's no revenge like God's revenge," because God knows how to reach us each individually in a way that we can "learn the lesson." Because learning the lesson is what God wants for each of his children.

Pray to the Lord that He show you what you are supposed to see in this trial. I believe every trial is there to bring us closer/more dependent on God and also to keep us humble. Someday, when the problems you speak of are overcome, God will place someone in your path, who is going through the same thing you once went through, and you will be able to minister to them and testify to them b/c of it. As they say, "there can be no testimony, without a test!":yep: I hope this helps!

Yeah! I like that quote right there. No Revenge like God's revenge...No Revenge like God's revenge...

Moms called me and i told her that something bad may go down tomorrow. She said it might be a good thing if you let God handle it and stop trying to control it. I will.

Thanks ladies!

Last Wednesday night's Bible study we in church asked this same question:wallbash:. What I have come to realize is that yes, some people do not tithe, go to church, give money to poor all things that Jesus done. You see these same people who do get blessed. We are the ones who tithe, give offering, go to church and deny the flesh! Amen. What I learned in Bible study is that People like that this is All they have too look forward too here on Earth. When the end comes near the ones like our selves who have be patient, longsuffering, deny the flesh. Will reap the rewards of the Lord our God. I do not get discouraged I just continue to Give God the Glory no matter what. I honor The Lord's word in the Bible, what gives me comfort is

Matthew Chap. 6:19-34 and Matthew Chp.7 6:10

The word of the Lord Always gives me comfort!
Do not be discouraged. God has got our Backs! Amen!:yep:

The bible tells us that there. Read Mark 8:36 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?

IMO, if you knew for sure that someone had a contract with the devil, wouldn't a true Christian be on their knees praying that God save his/her soul? (food for thought)

I just typed a really long post in response to this and it disappeared (which is probably a blessing b/c it wasn't the nicest thing I'd ever written:lol:). So, I will summarize my thoughts!

In a nutshell, I must say that I feel that some of us (not saying you highlyfavored) have gotten off track as God's children. Sometimes I wonder if we get "pleasure" out of seeing someone we feel "did us dirty" fall, just to feel good about ourselves! Also, we as Christians need to get out of this notion of who "deserves" what and at what time. Because truthfully, none of us "deserve" any of the things or blessings we have.:nono:

The truth is and always will be that God decides who, what, when, where and under what circumstancs a person is blessed and who, what, when, where and under what circumstances a person pays for their sin. That's never been our right or decision, and it never will be our responsibility!

As God said in Romans 12:19: 19 Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. 20 On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head" What could something like that really mean? Could it mean that you might shame someone with your ability to behave Godly, even when they aren't? Could it mean that you may influence someone to become more Godly if you behave Godly to them, when they have not behaved that way to you? It could mean any of those things or more.

We have to realize that God blesses HIS CHILDREN for different reasons at different times, as He so chooses.

And I'm sorry highlyfavored, b/c this isn't an attack on you, but this whole idea of "who's going to get what in the afterlife" also has to go IMO. The reason I say this is because what if at the end of everything, all this afterlife stuff was nothing more than smoke and mirrors (although I know it's not)? Would that change your decision to live a Godly life? Would you feel more "okay" with behaving differently?

WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING GOD? I don't think enough Christians really ask those questions above. I'm starting to wonder if most people are following God b/c they believe they are going to get some "reward" at the end of this life, as opposed to following God b/c that's what is in their heart. And I feel that many modern churches have helped promote this mentality. I feel that a modern mentality of many churches is the whole notion of "BLESSING OTHERS TO BE BLESSED BY GOD!" How, oh how is that Godly? I liken that to doing public service to become a part of a sorority, and not because public service is in your heart, or becoming an activist b/c you want to win the nobel prize, and not because you realize that the true prize is in fighting for a cause or saving others, and not in becoming a nobel laureate. If you look at it from this perspective, most of us aren't as "GODLY" as we would like to think:eek: What about following God b/c you love HIM and trust that He has a great plan for your life, not b/c you think/fear if you don't you'll go to Hell.

See, as I said below, God wants ALL OF US TO WIN! This is not a competition. EVERYONE CAN WIN, BUT SADLY, NOT EVERYONE WILL. AND IF YOU TRULY LOVE GOD, THAT'S THE ATTITUDE YOU WILL HAVE. YOU WILL REALIZE THAT YOUR JOB HERE IS TO SHOW GOD'S LOVE, AND TRY TO SAVE AS MANY SOULS AS YOU CAN, NOT TO FOCUS ON WHO'S GETTING WHAT, AT WHAT TIME, WHEN, WHERE, ETC.

FOR EXAMPLE, IF SOMEONE LIVES A LIFE OF SIN THEIR ENTIRE LIFE AND AT THE VERY LAST SECOND TAKES GOD....GUESS WHAT, THEY ARE GOING TO END UP IN THE SAME HEAVEN AS YOU. HAVING PAID NO TITHES, HAVING SAVED NO SOULS, AND HAVING NEVER PROBABLY EVEN GONE TO CHURCH! BUT THAT'S GOD'S GRACE.

And why is that true? Because according to Romans 3:22-24: There is no difference, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

So, at the end of the day, we are all saved, avenged and blessed by nothing more than GOD'S GRACE!

We aren't blessed b/c we are "good" or "deserving." We don't simply go to Heaven b/c we were "more moral" or "better" than the next guy. We go b/c GOD LOVES US! AND GOD'S LOVE IS NOT SOME EXCLUSIVE ORGANIZATION ONLY SELECT PEOPLE CAN HAVE. EVERYONE CAN HAVE IT!

Hi Cocoberry10 this is HighlyFavored2008, I am responding to your post to me.

IMO, if you knew for sure that someone had a contract with the devil, wouldn't a true Christian be on their knees praying that God save his/her soul? (Food for thought)

To answer this question of course. I do it for President Bush and other world Leaders who follow the Devil all the time! (No Pun Intended)! I am serious!

As far as getting off track Cocoberry10, you know as well as I know we all go through our seasons in this life time Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. You also know that a season can be anywhere from a day to 30 years etc… No specific time frame Amen.

I was a Muslim for 11 years of my life before I gave my life back to Jesus Christ. I would not trade that back for the world. That point is when I was Muslim I was feel really off track with the Lord for real. (Me personally Muslims please take no offense).

Also, we as Christians need to get out of this notion of who "deserves" what and at what time. Because truthfully, none of us "deserve" any of the things or blessings we have.

In Romans 2:11 God is no respecter of persons.

Are you saying that the ones that have a contract with the devil deserve these blessings?

I am sorry Cocoberry10, I am attacking you, however, you know as well as I know that people who do have a contract with the devil all they have is here on Earth, that is all. They will even tell you to your face that this is all they have too look forward too b/c of what they’ve done in their lives. That is why I posted

Matthew 6 19:23 and Matthew 7:6-8. This scripture is what brings me comfort when I see people who have a contract with the devil.

The reason I say this is because what if at the end of everything, all this afterlife stuff was nothing more than smoke and mirrors (although I know it's not)?
In John 14:2-4 is why I Have Faith in God’s Word. So, my faith tells me it is not like what you are describing. Have you ever seen a person who was at peace with God before they passed on? I have it is a beautiful. It happened to my father in 2004. So, I know God’s word does not lie.

WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING GOD? I follow God because of all of the hell he has brought me through in this life so far. Have you ever been outside of the WILL of the Lord and Watched the Lord Bring you personally back? I read too many ladies testimonies on what God has done for them in my life personally and in this forum. I am sorry, again I am not attacking you, and it is not a “reward” at all it is just God’s Grace and Mercy. Amen

If you look at it from this perspective, most of us aren't as "GODLY" as we would like to think What about following God b/c you love HIM and trust that He has a great plan for your life ( I agree 110%)

EVERYONE CAN WIN, BUT SADLY, NOT EVERYONE WILL. AND IF YOU TRULY LOVE GOD, THAT'S THE ATTITUDE YOU WILL HAVE. YOU WILL REALIZE THAT YOUR JOB HERE IS TO SHOW GOD'S LOVE, AND TRY TO SAVE AS MANY SOULS AS YOU CAN, NOT TO FOCUS ON WHO'S GETTING WHAT, AT WHAT TIME, WHEN, WHERE, ETC.(This why I stand on God’s Word everyday no matter what) God has done too much for me in this life thus far and I will never forget what the Lord has done.

(Amen this is God’s Grace in action it is so true our Pastor has said the same thing a few months ago) This is why my love is so deep for the Lord this is why I changed my life around for the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen!

To sum what I am saying is in this situation if these same people who do have a contract with the devil do not repent at the end then guess what? This is all that they have here on Earth! All my Pastor was doing was just answering peoples concerns on this same matter where he said

Some people do not tithe, go to church, give money to poor all things that Jesus done. You see these same people who do get blessed. It’s by God’s Grace! Another thing even though I am going through one of my hardest seasons, I still tithe and offer not because of a “reward” it is b/c I love the Lord God and his Kingdom. Also, I sow into good and bountiful ground in my church b/c I love that our church is on Fire and changing lives, restoring, families and saving souls! Amen

This thread is on time! Thx MzBrown for opening up this discussion. I've wondered the same thing in the past. :perplexed

I felt the Spirit move me to say this also on this topic (in fact, based on a few of the recent threads, I'm going to create a thread on this topic).

Sometimes we feel that God is blessing someone that "wronged" us and we are upset b/c we feel that they didn't "pay" for what they did.

But as I said before, it's not our concern how and when someone pays for their sin, but God's only:yep:

But the Spirit spoke to me last night (as I was jogging/walking) on this topic, and told me that sometimes why a person that we feel was "wrong" is blessed and it seems like they are "prospering" is b/c they ARE:yep:. And they are "prospering" b/c they've paid for their "wrong" (whether you saw it or not), and are now able to be blessed by God. Meanwhile you, who have been "injured" are holding on to envy and unforgiveness towards that person, and you are MISSING GOD'S BLESSINGS. As God said "vengeance is MINE," not mine (as a human). Someone that did you wrong 2 years ago, paid for their wrong and can now be blessed by God. Meanwhile, you are still angry and suffering and can't move on and can't be blessed by God, and can't figure out why They are being blessed but you aren't. And this creates envy in some people:yep:. Envy and unforgiveness are sure ways to Block Blessings!

I will try to add some scripture to this post a little later, but simmer on this ladies!

Hi coco:

Just want to understand what the Holy Spirit said to you. Are you saying as an example that someone 2 years ago paid for their wrong and can be blessed by GOD? Just asking for clarification.........What if someone did you wrong last month and then immediately is blessed and prospers?

I don't have an issue with revenge but there may be someone who is unsaved or a non-paying viewer who does have this problem.

Thanks

That's the hard part. When people did me wrong I knew that Vengeance is for the Lord and i would ask the Lord that when he gives them their vengeance to please remind them of WHY it was done and WHO they hurt. I know i'm not supposed to do that but i asked Him anyway just in case.

I asked someone who was saved and came back to me to ask my forgiveness and he said that he repented and God dealt with him in his own way and i asked him if he knew HOW he hurt me and WHAT he did to hurt me. His answers varied from mine.

Unless they ask you, they have no idea that they hurt you. A lot of things i told him he didnt even realized that it hurt me.

So here he was saved and getting blessings left and right from an external view, not even realizing the real root of the pain he caused someone.

They know they hurt people, but they may not know how or why it caused them pain. They just know they repented and it's over and done with and it aint up to me to decide if and when they get vengeance.

There have been times when i've been hurt by someone to the point of tears and sorrow and i believe God somehow makes me think of the people that I hurt and caused them similar pain....and then it hurts all over again because i realize at that exact moment that I could be experiencing the Lord's vengeance.

The scary part is that some people experience the Lord's Vengeance and yet they don't even realize WHY or what they may have done or said to someone to have it happening.

It's enlightening for me to know so that i WILL NOT do it again. It's not a good feeling in your heart to be hurt by someone and then realize the pain you are feeling once belonged to someone else and I was the cause of it.:nono:

To the bolded: Yes the 2 years ago was just an example. There is no actual timetable, b/c it's in God's hands. As far as your second question: what about someone who did you wrong last month and then immediately is blessed? Again, based on what the Holy Spirit said to me, the point is that God makes people pay in His own time and way. That person may have "paid" for their wrong the day they wronged you or the next day, so one month later, God has long ago forgiven them and the blessings you now see them acquiring is b/c they've been forgiven/dealt with by God.

Another thing, and this deals with the people you don't think are "sorry" (i.e. they don't care that they've wronged people and keep seeming to get blessed). I addressed this in my first (or maybe 2nd post). As I said, I don't believe anyone completely "gets away" with anything, even if it seems that way. But, there are people in this world who don't care about whom they hurt, and sometimes it seems that these people continue to prosper. But as I said before, they ARE paying for what they've done, it just may not affect them, particularly if they don't have a relationship with God. I am exhausted, and will type more tomorrow (during regular business hours:lol:). I don't want to confuse you ladies, so I hope this clarifies Metamorfhosis. If it confuses you more, blame it on me being really tired and not the Holy Spirit:lol:.

Thanks coco for the explanation.

And after this discussion on revenge, it is perhaps time to forgive, not waste time thinking about someone who is no longer in your life, and move on with one's life.

I agree with this. Remember, what God has for you is for YOU. And if you spend time focusing on those who wronged you, you (IMO) are literally setting yourself up to MISS HIS BLESSINGS!:yep:
