Natural: How are you wearing your hair this weekend?

Last week I got a rollerset on big rollers and somehow those big barrell curls now look like a straw set. So I'm still wearing it like that. I don't know how to keep my rollersets looking like I got big curls

When you all do your twists.....how do you keep the ends together. My ends always unravel:wallbash:

I put a little ORS Loc and Twist Gel on my ends and I twist... You can see how I do it in this vid...:spinning:

Aw, thank you girl!

BiggHair...you puff is BEAUTIFUL! :yep:

I showed my aunt all the pictures and she just sat there dumbfounded:lachen:

Then she said that we are all an exception b/c she never sees hairstyles like this on natural women in her hood (Easton, PA).

This is me yesterday:

NaijaNaps: Fab twistout! What products did you use to shine & define? I haven't been able to create a decent tw/o since last April:nono:

LadykpNYC: Your tutorials are AWESOME! Str8 talk always makes for str8 understanding...alright? Thank you & please keep doing what you do!

I just did two strand twists

I'll be wearing these until they look raggedy, then I'll do a twistout.:yep:

Didn't you recently BC? These twists are soooo pretty. I can't wait until I have enough length to rock these. For now, I have to wear my phony puff.

What all are you using in your hair? I find that I get by best 'fluffiest' yet non-frizzy twists from hair that has been airdried in braids, using only a TINY bit of whipped pudding for the twist.

I blew my hair out on the warm setting, then used leave-in and castor oil on each section before twisting.

Thanks ladies! Ladykayp, no I didn't do it myself. A beauty school student did it for me last week. She lives in my neighboorhood. I don't bother doing my own weaves anymore it's getting to be too much work.

ETA: Lauren your twists look good. :yep:

Thank you! Yep, I love your hair too. It looks natural, and it really fits you.:yep:

Honeycomb if you have fine hair you might try twisting much smaller pieces not using any product to twists. If they come out skinny let the steam from the shower hit them to plump them up.

Kweena, have you tried a little water or aloe gel on your ends?

Here is my puff. Op your aunt will probably hate it because it is unruly...

:lachen::lachen: Blame that on the imagination UNDER the hair, not on the hair itself!! ;)

This was my Friday hair...The rest of the weekend was a different story...:lachen::lachen: P.S. Please excuse the mean mug..lol

I used Profectiv Healthy Ends for those twists that resulted in the twistout. Usually I try to use a water-based moisturizer since my hair is so dry.

I just twisted today and used ORS Olive Oil Moisturizer.

I usually co-wash my twists at least once before wearing a twistout. I think the addition of water really helps the twists wrap around each other to get the crinkly curlies going :yep:

More pics ladies!!

*sigh* I wish my hair could hang :ohwell:

Small bun in the back and twists for bangs. But I don't like it, bangs extend too far down. So next time I'll only make a small bangs section in the center. But check out my hand-carved buffalo horn hair ornament!

i just did new twists yesterday
i'll take a picture later.

i have them pinned up right now in the back
and the front is just out.

Which products?!

Spill the beans girl! :look:

Lol Well I washed it then I immediately put a leave in on, I believe I used generic version of Paul Mitchell's "The Conditioner"(I'm a cheapie). I used something similar to a denman brush to brush the conditioner through then I applied Fantasia IC gel and combed it through with my fingers. Then I styles and added a little bit more fantasia IC on the top part.
