Beauty IS skin deep.
to Dominican conditioners!! They are soooooo lush:lick: They make your hair sooooo soft, detangling is virtually effortless, and not to mention that they're soooo cheap!! I've had nothing but wonderful experiences with my dominican conditioners. I haven't used any of their poos, so I'll be sticking with my regular ones for now. And though I love my beloved Pantene BD & my ORS Replenishing conditioner, it's safe for me to say that I am officially adding dominican conditioners to my staples list. My hair loves this stuff!!

I used one for the first time last week. I couldn't believe how easy it was to detangle my hair from my 7 weeks of NG all the way to the ends. I lost much less hair than I used to.

Girl, those dominican products are no joke!! I didn't know anything about them until I found this site. After ordering my first batch, it was all she wrote. I've already got my reorder list ready to go!!!

It's always a happy occasion when you find something your hair likes :yep: I've been wanting to try dom. products for so long, but I gotta stick to the drug store stuff for now. From the way everyone raves about them, I bet they're just the bomb :)

Yes girl, they are!!! I just wish I didn't have to order them online, but oh well, it's well worth the wait!!

Yup, I just ordered some colourshines from them about 2 hours ago. My order probably won't get processed until tomorrow. I think you'll love the Olive Oil rinse. It's gives nice slip and leaves your hair amazingly soft. I'm still on the fence about the Silk Worm Rinse. I just couldn't get into the hype of Lacio Lacio. It just didn't seem to do anything for me:nono:

Glad that you have experienced what I have.I don't care how bad anybody talks about them. I have been using them since May, and my hair loves them.

Now that I've found them, I can definitely put off purchasing that tub of Keracare Humecto I've been dying to try. I think I'll wait until next year to try that stuff out. I've heard the tub is way better than the bottle, but the tub is so expensive that I'm afraid I might get it and not like it. So for now, my dominican conditioners are doing just what I need them to do, and for way cheaper!!

I'm glad you're loving them Cherokee, welcome to the dark side  j/k. There is no dark side! These conditioners have been a key element in me shedding less and not really caring about texlaxing any time soon. I have a long list of conditioners that are staples and while I'm not looking to add anything else to the list, I'm always open! I found a BSS about and hour away from me (thanks JustMeSteph)that sells the products and at a good price so for most stuff I'll be going there but for my other stuff, I'll continue w/beautyofnewyork. I was thinking about e-mailing their customer service to find out if they'll be doing any specials or anything for the holiday season but then again, their prices are so good they really don't need to have specials. So what all did you get?

I hear ya on that. My hair retains moisture so much better now than it did with humecto.Even when I have tangles, they are not even an issue with the Nacidit. I couldn't always say the same for the Humecto, unless I saturated my hair with it. The bottle was good to me, it's just that it is thinner, so I use about 1/4 of the bottle in one use( with no new growth). You definitely cannot beat the price of the dominican conditioners, for the results.

I tried and tried, but Lacio Lacio was not a keeper for me. I wanted it to be sooo bad, but it just wouldn't work for me. As far as the colourshines go, yeah, they're selling them. I just ordered 2 bottles. They have the message posted though that they've been discontinued, so I guess they're trying to get rid of them. They're $24.98 a bottle.

wow! that's how I feel about my "cheapie" shampoo and conditioner. For me it's cheap because I buy Paul Mitchell, Biosilk, Joico....

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration (and practically all of their conditioners) are so rich everything else seems watered down. It's the only thing I use besides my high end products.

Those Dominican conditioners sound pretty good but I wouldn't know where to get any!!!!

Miss Cherokee which conditioners did you purchase?

I'm posting the link to a thread I started not too long ago when I went on a dominican product shopping spree. Out of the rinses, so for the ones I'm really loving are the coconut oil rinse and the olive oil rinse. So far, I'm loving the milk & honey conditioner & the avacado hair conditioner. I bought some silicon mix from sickbay awhile back, and I'm loving it too!! Here's the link:

My hair didnt like silicon mix...I was expecting to get great slip and softness and my hair actually felt rough and it wouldnt even soak the stuff up...it was weird. It didnt hurt my hair, but it didnt do anything good for it either. That makes me afraid to try the other conditioners since so many ppl rave about silicon mix. Now I did get my hands on some lacio lacio and my hair does like that a lot. How much was shipping on that beautyofnewyork site?

Shipping wasn't that much, that's one of the main reasons I ordered from them. It was no more than $10 ground.

I've heard so many mixed reviews on Lacio2. Did you try maybe mixing it w/another leave-in to see if it works any better? Did you try it on wet hair? Just curious, hate to see people waste their money.

I tried mixing it with other leave-ins and on wet hair, rollersets, wash n gos, etc. I didn't waste it. I finished up the bottle, so I won't be buying anymore.

For me the lacio lacio got better the longer I used it. I only really used it on my ends and sometimes midlength of my hair ( ear level and down ) and I used a teensy tiny bit so it wouldn't weigh me down - I bought two bottles months ago and I'm only about half way through the first. It made my ends silky and soft, and seemed to really minimize splits - and the SHINE. A honey rinse followed by alittle of that -- ridiculous. But everyone's different....

I agree! I never thought they could be that great until I tried it myself. I use the Alter Ego Coconut Mask to DC with and it's one of the best conditioners I've ever used. It just melts into the hair and tames my ng like no other. I love my Aveda and that all I use on my hair but they don't make a very good deep conditioner...so I will continue to use Alter Ego until they come up with a comparable Deep Conditioner.

That's exactly how I feel about the Silicon Mix. It provided great slip, but it didn't make my hair soft when it dried. Hello Hydration does both for me.

I got in trouble last year. I found a buy one get one free special and they were on sale... needless to say I am still working on that same batch, I could have stalked a salon :lachen:

Dominican conditioners are the TRUTH!!! :superbanana:

I've been using Domininican conditioners for about 8 months and I'm hooked! I wish I had started using them years ago when I first joined this site.
