ORS Replenishing Pak + Aphogee 2 Min = Stronger Hair!!!

So,

I tried out the ORS Replenishing Pak and the Aphogee Keratin 2 Min Reconstructor.

First, I shampooed with Roux Porosity Control shampoo. Then I applied the Aphogee (I left it on for 5 minutes). I then followed it up with the ORS and sat under the dryer for 15 minutes. At first, I was worried, because when I washed it, the slip was completely different. Plus, the ORS stuff is THICK THICK THICK. Way thicker than any other conditioner I've ever used.

I applied Giovanni Direct Leave in and then sealed with two drops of castor oil. I let my hair air dry.

My hair DEFINITELY feels stronger and I am seeing fewer tiny hairs  I didn't get these kinds of results using Nexxus Emergencee.

I don't know if it was the ORS or the Aphogee, but this is a keeper! I'm going to alternate it with my Aubrey Organics products. Woo hoo!!!

I'm going to do Aubrey next week and then the week after do ORS/Aphogee and see the results. If it goes well, then, by George, I think I will have my reggie down!!!

i used this same exact combo, today for the first time and i agree...wow...aint that funny

thanx 4 sharing! u should try them separately to see if it was just one of them that did the trick, I know those are both protein so it might have been the double dosage that did it.... hm, right now i just use the aphogee and get good results, i haven't used those replenishing packs in awhile but those use to be my joints

:yep: Very funny-I used this same combo on my 2 dd's hair tonight, except on one I used the 2 minute and the other I used the intensive reconstructor. I left both on for about 10 minutes, then used the ORS pak(our staple dc) and had beautiful results.

I'm washing today and I'm definitely gonna try this. Said I was gonna try Fermodyl 619xtra for the first time. I got one vial to try because SALLY's has the 3 pack buy one get one free (that's $7.99 )

Back OT I have to go to the BSS to get some Aphogee. Had it in my hand last week and put it back. Darnit! I hope the product junkie doesn't come out whenI go back today to get this, but I have a feeling it will cause I scooped up some the those coupons in their sale circular last week :yep: and I might have to whip them out. I think I'll get the 2 minute one. I don't know if my hair needs or could take the intensive. That crunchy hair feeling some of you talk about with the intensive sounds scary to me:nono:That'll be too much protein for my hair I'm thinking. Already got the ORS packs . I'll report back when I try it.

Hey CC007-the intensive one I'm referring to wasn't the "let it sit until it's hard kind"-I'm not ready for all of that. The two treatments I'm talking about are very similiar. I thought they were the same just in different packaging until I read the ingredient list. I ordered some products online a couple of weeks ago and since the shipping was pretty cheap I went ahead and ordered that one too.

Ooh-also try dc'ing on dry hair with the ORS with heat. OR, put the ORS pak on dry and sleep in it. Really, I suspect you just can't go wrong any way you use that ORS rp. I went to Kroger and cleaned them out-that's how many I go through of that stuff.

I love that combo too. Someone here turned me on too mixing the ORS with silk infusion reconstructor pack. That combo is awesome too.

I second that. I tried it a long time ago and have been doing it ever since. In fact, the ORS replenishing pak is the only thing I will use when I do an intensive protein treatment. The reason why is that the ORS pak has just a small amount of protein in it, while it's mostly a moisturizing DC, so it gives somewhat of a perfect balance every time. If I use any other DC after a protein treatment, my hair doesn't feel the same:nono:

That's funny cause I used almost the exact same combo on my hair yesterday!

After pre-pooing and shampooing, I did a protein treatment with the Aphogee 2 minute reconstructor and then deep conditioned with the ORS replenishing pack.

Afterwards I did a final rinse with the Roux Porosity Control and applied Giovani Direct as my leave-in!

I haven't done a protein treatment in a while, so it's been a long time since I've used the Aphogee 2-min recon. But MAN did my hair feel different! I had posted last week saying that it felt like it was overmoisturized and needed some protein. And it did--as soon as I rinsed the Aphogee out I could tell a difference. My hair was way more elastic. It was also a little "harder" than usual, which is why I made sure to use the ORS afterwards for moisture.

I thought I had tried this combo but I was mistaken. I have both these products so I'll check it out.

the ORS made my hair hard when I was using it a few months back. I'm scared to try it again, but I have a bunch of those dumb packs laying around lol.
It has protein in it as well. The aphogee 2 minute doesn't do much for me either so I stopped using it.
I suck at figuring out protein too, so I'm subscribing to this thread.

i will be doing the 2 min reconstrutor to nite, and i have those ORS packages laying around, so i will try this combo.

Both of these products have undergone formula changes since this thread was originally started. I wonder if the products still work well together w/ the new formulations. Personally, I can't stand the new ORS Replenishing formula. I do have some of the old stuff left though. :scratchch:

yup,i did this last week, aphogee 2min and ors with cholesterol and mixed all three, DC on dry hair for about 5-6hours and my hair is veryyyyyyyy stong!!!!!! now i know it wasnt just my imagination, thanks for this post op

I wonder why, it looks like the same product:

and it also smells the same,i smelled it yesterday.......... but someone said the paks are better, i have no idea why :nono:

There's a long thread around here about the formula change. It happened when people couldn't figure out why there was such a difference in the feeling of their hair. We compared the ingredients and they definitely changed.

The new bottle, the one pictured above, contains the new formula. Some of the paks contain the old formula and some contain the new. It seems that they're still phasing out of the old formula (in the packs), which is why you were probably told that the pack is better. A lot of the packs still have the old formula whereas the bottles all contain the new formulas. (Unless you happen to get lucky and find an old bottle).
