December 2019: Hits & Misses

Half a miss
Jlexillc Chebe hair growth system. I say half a miss 'cause I like the shampoo and conditioner but I'm allergic to the oil and Chebe paste.

The shampoo is low sudsing and has Chebe bits in it. It leaves the hair soft and silky.
The conditioner is my favorite. It is thick and creamy. It detangles very well and my hair felt wonderful after rinsing it out. Moderate slip.
Hair elixir spray. Watery spray that does not smell the greatest. It does detangle and add moisture.
Now the hair paste is what you're supposed to leave in your hair for 3-5 days. It is very grainy and gritty. That texture is described in product description. You mix this with oil and smooth down hair. Your hair is supposed to dry soft. Mine did not and I had an allergic reaction.

It got so bad I. Had to wash my hair again and my scalp is still irritated. Not Jlexillc's fault but I should have known I have a sensitive scalp.
All in all I'll toss the oil and paste and use the other products till gone. Not a repurchase.

Hit: DIY Flaxseed gel

can’t believe I spent $80 during the naturall Black Friday sale ordering their flaxseed gel which has tons of added chemicals and ingredients, thinking it would be a better alternative to ecostyler and it’s drying effects on my hair.

I made flaxseed gel on my own for less than $5 and in less than an hours time and it left my hair moisturized, defined, shiny, touchable curls. Much better than ecostyler. If I had tried this years ago I would have been so much further along in my hair care journey because of all the moisture and benefits it provides my hair. Another reminder that nature provides us everything we need.
