Deep Conditioning Heat Cap <3

Ladies,
I just bought this heated cap and I LOVE IT!!!! :yay:

It is perfect for me. I DC for about 30 to 45 minutes and I hate being attached to a loud dryer. It is environmentally friend, relatively inexpensive, and beyond easy to use. It provides heat for roughly 45 minutes, but you can always stick it back in the microwave and DC for longer.

I bought mine from esty.com and I received it in about a week.

Just sharing :)

A whole bunch of us use it in here. I used mine does the first time today. I just wished that it had more pockets with the flax seed. To me it just feels like it warms up in the middle.

SweetlyCurly You are right. There are not flaxseeds in the back, but my hair is tapered so that did not bother me. I just love having mobility. Heck I took a nap when I had it on my head today.

I prefer the heat therapy wrap. I get better distribution of heat with it vs the hot head.

I have several heat caps...

Hot Head - it could use more pockets with flax but I work around this issue with pinning the length of my hair to the crown. I like that it gets hot but not overly so where it's causing discomfort to my scalp. It's the perfect amount of heat for a good DCing session.

Heat Therapy Wrap - I have both the old and new heat therapy wrap. While the newer wrap has fewer cool spots, some cool spots still remain. So, I pin the hair on top of my head to get a good DCing session.

Although the Hot Head does not get as hot as the Heat Therapy Wrap, I like it better because it's a puffier cap so the heat isn't resting on my scalp and becoming too hot. The Heat Therapy Wrap fits snug, so the heat is directly on my hair/scalp and becomes a bit too hot in the crown as time passes.

A section of the elastic in my hothead literally burned in the microwave. Not sure if I'll get another one or try to find a different portable heat source.

I already own a steamer and a soft bonnet hairdryer. But sometimes I do not want to take out the tabletop steamer and the soft bonnet is noisy, or I need to move around. Buying this 2 will make it easier for to DC (sometimes I go a month without DCing when too busy). I do not regret buying them but a girl needs options.

Quoting myself.

I emailed Sandra from ThermalHairCare about this issue to see if this is a common problem. She said it occasionally happens but usually after the 1st or 2nd use. I've had mine for about 4 months and used it a couple of times a month. Anyway, Sandra voluntarily offered to send me a new cap free of charge. I was so impressed with her customer service that I bought one for my daughter.

I finally got around to making this. Now I see why those ones are etsy are priced what they are. It took some work. Plus I'm a novice at sewing and I started it at like 9pm lol. Anywho i used flaxseeds. Warms up nicely and fits good too.
Wow great job lady.

I ordered one because I'm not crafty enough to DIY & I love it! Just the right amount of heat, it's comfortable and pretty.
