What's the difference?

Evening,

What is the difference between protien and reconstructing conditioners?
When would you use one vs the other?
What do you use on your edges during stretches? Need something to lay this stuff down!

Thanks

I use castor oil on my edges between touch ups with water and a silk scarf. I don't know the difference between a reconstructor and a protein treatment. Maybe the protein treatment has less added stuff than a reconstructor, i.e. it maybe a little more stronger than reconstructor.

I have never used pure protein. My favorite reconstructors are Aubrey Organics GPB and Emergencée.

I think people whose hair is very damaged would do well to use pure protein but as the article stated, if used incorrectly, pure protein could make hair brittle. This would happen if you didn't balance the protein with a good moisturizing conditioner.
