The PharmAssure brand EPO from Rite Aid (I've used 3 different brands) is probably the most effective at giving that certain side effect.

My sister has been complaining that her fish oil (the only supplement she takes, for non hair reasons) that hers are swollen and tender for over a month. She gave herself a break from the fish oil for a week and is now feeling relief.
