Any elegant cornrow styles?

Hey ladies,

I'm 10 months in to my transition and I want a new style. I want a elegant cornrow style, maybe into a bun or a ponytail without weave. My hd hates braids so I need something pretty! Does anyone have any pics or ideas?

I had a combo of cornrows, two strand twists and silky dreads formed into a bun. It lasted for about 20 days.

I cornrowed my hair to the side as if I was going to put it into a side bun and then twisted what was left hanging loose for the bun. Loosely tucked and pinned with Conair updo pins (I love these BTW they dont snag or pull like my bobby pins)

I have a picture to post later when I'm on my desktop. I'm in my second set of cornrows and I was terrified of looking like a boy!!! Alicia Keys has some great elegant cornrow styles, so google her and look at the photos posted. Also, the smaller they are, the more feminine look you will get IMO...I usually do not get them straight back...add a curve or some design to soften your face.

A braid book from your local BS will also give you great ideas. Good luck!

These are flat twists. I think they're softer than cornrows.

These are done with 2 strands instead of the 3 strands used for braids.
