OFFICIAL APL CHALLENGE

I'll join in too. My hair is at the top of my armpit but I don't consider it armpit length until I get a few inches past the top of it. I'm on the hide your hair until Christmas challenge so I will update then too. Good luck everyone.

yep, that's basically it...but if you reach apl before that you can post pictures if you want...but after christmas...we can update every 3 months or so....the reason why I say not post pictures until christmas is because some of us are on the hide hair until christmas challenge so we cannot show any pictures until christmas...but after christmas....we can update every 3 months...sounds good to you?

I'm in don't know when I will reach apl. Me and my hair have had some issues this year. Currently I am rocking braids using mtg every other day. Next time I take them down I will post a pic. Good Luck Ladies

NO posting pictures until christmas...after christmas..we will update our pictures every 3 months...are u down...:grin:
 
:) Count me in I should be there by Christmas 2006

I am 100% natural I just got my hair pressed today and I was pleased to see that my hair has grown a little despite bad maitenance.

I am 1 inch from APL in the back:D
I am 2 inches from APL on the sides:)
and 4 inches from front:(

My hair is various lengths because of the way my hair is shaped for natural wear.

I am going to be pleased if with my sides getting to APL by Christmas.

I plan on getting my hair braided till Christmas. That should help me retain the 2 inches I need.

I'm thinking I should reach APL by my one year LHCF anniversary date (Feb 2007) Count me in! :cool:
 
I need about 3-4 inches to be at a comfortable APL. Right now I am 12 weeks post and will have my touchup on the 25th of August. After that I will have my regimen in place that will last until December. Right now I'm just doing whatever to make it three more weeks. Here is what I plan to do for my 16 week stretch that will end with an update in December...

Wash and deep condition 1x week
Moisturize daily
Protective styles 95% of the time
Baggie at night

Hopefully I will be close to APL by picture update time. I'll probably make minor changes to my regimen as needed. Good luck ladies!!
 
I'm almost scared to join this challenge! it seems so far in the future. i haven't even made shoulder yet and still growing out layers:(

But, i'm down and i'ma gonna take a wild guess and say my back layers can get there by August 2007. right now it is near the bottom of my neck.

I think it depends on your height ,for me it´s 5 inches and I´am just 5´2.:)
 
I'm in my challenge date is August 2007.. I don't want to pressure myself..Cuzz it seems like it dosen't grow to my expectations if i do..;)
 
Me too! Me too! I want to reach APL by Spring '07. Guess that means I should stay away from the scissors, huh? :lachen: It's just so tempting to cut my layers out!! :D

Anyway, I'm down.

I want to join! I'm not sure how long my hair would be if straighten, but my plaits reach my shoulder which is about 3 inches away from my armpit.

Hopefully, I will be APL by early 2007! ;)
