The Best BAGGY CHALLENGE Ever 2010! Cycle Two (July - Dec)

Checking in. I am still baggying every night. Last night I whole head bagged for the first time. This morning my hair was SILK! Only problem is my scalp was itching like crazy. So I don't think I could do the whole head all the time, even tho the results were pleasing. Also when I bag my ponytail I just use a lil sandwich bag and throw it away everyday. When I whole head bag I use a disposable shower, and although they are disposable are more expensive (especially if Imma do this everyday til dec!) All u ladies who do ur whole head, I don't how u do it... How are you guys making out?
 
Tried something different last night. I baggied with my mega tek mix (scalp only), Carefree Curl Gold activator, Worlds of Curls moisturizer spray and sealed with black castor oil. My hair is very soft today.

Also, I just might have to join this challenge since I just had an epiphany recently. My hair grows pretty darn fast (2 weeks post a relaxer, I can feel newgrowth), it's just that I can't retain anything. Therefore, it's about time I protected my ends and I will attempt to baggy my whole head at night.

Once I purchase some, I will use JBCO and coconut oil in my mix and see what happens from now until Christmas. :woot:

Thank you Xerxes! I'll probably update my avatar soon. I still baggy everynight and sometime during the day if I wear a hat. It has really worked wonders for my hair. Good luck and HHG!
 
Im so in now that i done my research in this would help me majorly

How many times a week will you be baggying?
5 times a week or as much as my hair will allow

What moisturizers and/or oils will you be using?
a mixture of Aphogee leave-in, SE luxury moisturizing conditioner and SE leave-in hair moisturizing creme then i seal with EVOO

Will you be ponytail or whole head baggying?
just pony baggying for my ends
 
I've been baggying at least 5 nights a week (whole head & pony), using conditioner, oil, cfcg, aloe vera juice, glycerin (not all at once though).

I just purchased a new half wig so I'll be able to baggy all day now.
 
still baggying. apply moisturizer (usually scurl followed by HE LTR split end protector OR scurl followed by elasta qp mango butter), baggy for a few hours, seal. this method works best and my hair doesn't become too saturated from the baggy.

And I am so impressed with how much better my hair feels now that I have begun baggying my whole head. My hair is shiny and feels so smooth, moisturized and strong. I can't wait to see my progress in 6 months. Even my old ends look happy and nourished.

This baggying idea is the best thing next to brownies :yay:

My shea butter came in the mail .. can't wait to make whipped shea and baggy!!!

I baggy'd everyday while at work, here was my protective/baggy style:

EVOO and hydrathermal naturals leave-in and daily growth lotion

3.Will you be ponytail or whole head baggying?

hi Make_Me_Over!
when i use the ponytails and sandwich bags, i throw them out like you do.
then when i use the whb plastic caps, i use 1 cap a week.
i cowash my hair almost every day, so i'm almost always bagging clean, fresh hair.
i'm so happy to know it made your hair feel like SILK!!!

p.s. for the itchies, i add some eo of tea tree oil to my dc's and rinses.
i also use neem in my ayurveda pastes and rinses....good stuff!

I moisturize, whole head baggy for 2 hours, seal, baggy my ends overnight.

What moisturizers and/or oils will you be using?
Moisturize in layers with -- Scurl, HE LTR, Elasta QP Mango Butter or sometimes Scurl only
Seal with evco

Will you be ponytail or whole head baggying?
see above; I do a combo of both

how do you keep the hair from becoming overly saturated with whole head baggying overnight?

ok so u use 1 cap a week, I gotchu, that's doable. ayurveda, huh? I know nothing about it, but I am intrigued. I was reading a lil on it to try to find out more about it. I do DRINK fenugreek tea, for its health benefits. Can I use those tea bags for rinses. What do u do/use, ect?
 
Baggied last night with S-Curl. My hair is pretty soft today but I'm going to watch for build up because I know S-Curl has cones.:ohwell:
 
I'm still baggying a few hrs nightly with Scurl then seal with evco. Every now and then I'll had a prod that contains protein before baggying, then seal with evco.
 
Cowashed and baggied last night with StaSofFro and Black Castor oil. My hair is soft and shiny today.:look:
 
I tried something different last night. I sectioned my hair, moisturized with African Royale BRX braid spray, then Sta Sof Fro. When the section began to soften, I finger detangled then sealed with a mixture of Haitian Black Castor oil, Wheat Germ oil, and Profectiv Mega Growth Growth oil. I banded with Goody ouchless ponytail holders, baggied, and went to bed.

I think this is definetely a keeper!!! My hair is so soft with plenty of moisture! The only drawback that is it was a little greasy but I don't mind. I think this may be my best baggying combo ever!:yep:

How is everyone doing?
 
I'm still baggying. I've literally soaked my hair with scurl these past few nights and baggied for about 2-3 hours. This has helped tremendously to combat the increased dryness I've experienced from an imbalance of protein/moisture. I'm still not out of the woods, but my hair is turning around fairly quickly.
 
this probably isnt the right place to ask but..

is it called baggying if yu wear a shower cap underneath a scarf after yu moist &seal but dont wash it out the next daay.?
